Before we all whip out our kilts, swing our swords attempting to behead each other, and start running around screaming "There can be only one!!!!" it should be stated that we are talking about battlemech #17; the HGN-732 Highlander The Highlander is a 90 ton assault mech; a virtual juggernaut with almost as much firepower as an Atlas with one small difference; Jump Jets. Thats right, I said it. Jump Jets! This mofo can fly, yo!! Now, for those of you who played table top you know that weight + jump jets = damage. Well, imagine 90 tons of killer metal landing on your head! This mech can insta-kill most light mechs with the difficult but extremely macho and rewarding piloting skill of DFA (Death From Above). Add to the fact that it has a Gauss Rifle, both ranges of missiles covered with LRM and SRM launchers AND still having 2 medium beamers for your mid to low ranges you are talking about a machine that can do any role that doesn't require speed. Crawling along the battlefiend at 54kph it isn't exactly a cheetah but when it does finally arrive to the battle look out. This thing slings lead and lasers like a muthatrucka. While not as pretty as some of the other mechs, and certainly not as cool as the Marauder, the Highlander sort of brings the cool factor back to MWO after a slew of underwhelming mech release choices. Many a fan-boi just had a nerdgasm reading this I'm sure. So, within the next few months prepare to strap in, shut up and hold on cause the ground be pounding with the landings of 90 ton war machines!!!
Would love to see that but don't think it will be possible. Would crush them. Unless it's an "undocumented feature" (re: bug)
To glory or ON Glory? I think there are a few people that would love to land one of these ON Glory and I don't mean in a good way lol
I think there should be a rule making Highlanders on opposite teams have to Duel each other. After all, there can only be One.
