yep, std variant will basically be my first loadout try. One down, five to go...

After playing a few games in it, yep, this will be my loadout for this mech. I like it more than the cent9a - using the whole left side as a shield is much nicer than I thought it'd be.

I like this variant - I was just in a game with LT in his Wolverine where he did the whole "Braveheart" charge! I should mention that I use the XL325 in this mech and have it elited already.

Haha, I did the charge because it was 2v11 in Skirmish and I'm not 'that guy'. Some games you can definitely put up good damage in an SRM build and if you don't get focused, it can be fun. However, the cards have to be so stacked in your favor by both who your teammates are, who the enemy is, what map you're on, etc, all you can hope for is to be carried by the team and get lucky with favorable posistion and not be focused on.

 

True... SRMs I find to be great additions to a brawler build but not as the main firepower... I tried a similar build early on and I didn't find it be effective... had me chasing just to get some shots in... but maybe with more patience or now that its fully mastered I'll have better luck...

 

See, the problem that gets me coming back to this build is that when it works, it works beautifully...

Map with lots of corners, conquest to split the team up, my elo has probably dropped horribly low since all I've been doing is losing with these sabres...

Sadly, the typical game is 1 kill 280-300ish dmg.

 

The standard build works pretty well for me. Is it a good idea to chain the SRMs or not?

 

I'll be running this build for the next couple weeks as much as I can so I can accurately determine if SRMs get better in the April 15th patch.

I'm also considering trading one MLas for another ton of SRM+A ammo just so I can use them more...

 

Definitely feeling better after the first April patch changes. Can't wait to see how they improve next week!

 

My version

 

This is the variation on this theme I've been running. All I gotta' say is with the new SRM fix, this build is 5/5 for me. I love running it. I feel like I am capable of killing things with it.

 

This build still works with the latest patch..

 

Thanks for informing. Much harder to find a good build when all builds, ratings and comments are older than Clan Invasion.

My take on it.



Dropped to the 295 for the extra heat sink (could be ammo if you wish), and dropped Artemis for speed, but it's fast enough, agile enough, and with good twisting you can survive a beating.
