    Big nope for UI2.0.

I can get around in it but it's sluggish.

    - All the 'non-important buttons' (That's everything which isn't Store, Purchase MC or Play Now apparently) has very little contrast with the actual background, making them hard to spot or read. Especially things like my account balance should be MUCH clearer, and this could easily be done by giving the menu part of the UI a proper background or darker overlay on the background in between the buttons.

    - Rather than giving us the option of 'windowed client' vs 'full screen client' they decided that giving us an option would of course be way too user-friendly. Now if I want to talk to people / look up build in between matches I'll have to alt-tab every single time. This weighs VERY heavily for me, even though I'm used to no different in other games, those games don't need the build suggestions. League of Legends has a non-fullscreen client and that works great to look up information on how to play a champion and MechWarrior is similar. The fullscreen menu's of Hawken and the like don't matter because they don't require such an amount of depth.

    - Everything is scrambled all across the screen. Tiny social menu button at the bottom, log out at the bottom left, settings at the bottom right, rest of the menu's spread over the top and left sides, unnecessary Purchase MC button at the bottom as well. We have a big giant yellow STORE button for that stuff PGI.
Hawken: Ascension's menu is a good example of how it could be done, while still showing your mech prominently in front. Just mass every button to get around the game in the left side in a clear structured manner. I would make a screenshot but they're currently transitioning to Steam.

    - Mechlab is greatly hindered by a giant grid of mechs or items that is unnecessarily hard to look through. 'Search Refining' at the left is useful but no way to exclude trial mechs, or to organise by chassis instead of chassis type sucks. I can only imagine how it must be for someone with all mechs to look through the 'organised chaos'. The grid separates the 'equip part' from the 'select part' which is very clumsy if you want to do a quick modification.
Still no way to select certain hardpoints for certain weapons or to save configurations while it has been explicitly asked for.

    - Configuring mechs should be done like Smurfy. 'nough said. Current system wastes a lot of my viewing space on unnecessary icons for engines or other weapons, and the 'per component' style is timewasting and chaotic as you can't get a full overview of your mech at all and you need to click around 10 times more. Selecting each component in the menu at the left side is extremely counterintuitive.

    - Social menu still disables doing anything else in the client. For no bloody reason. Why can't there just be a pop-up chat screen like LoL?

I was actually busy in MS paint (oldskool yo) to design my personal dream UI for MWO.

    Verdict:
    - Some steps in the right direction, but this falls short to the chaotic design and making the client of such a knowledge-heavy game fullscreen.

It is a step in the right direction... but a lot is still missing so I can't say I love it. But I don't hate it either.

Ok changed "Other See Post" to Mixed Feelings (which is essentially the same thing)

I also set it so that you can change your vote.

    WOW! SO POTENTIAL! MUCH UNUSED!

They'll get there... they just (once again) released it too soon.

The huge change for me was no longer having to wait 60-90 seconds after each match for my mechs to release. That bit is great.

Configuration is a touch awkward, but not excessively so.

Like the enhanced legibility of new fonts, but maybe not Ariel.

Change the Checkout to Save please.

This is the PGI train after 2 years. It has no engine, but; it's got some good visuals; and a good location.
Just no locomotion, which is what a train needs in order to run.

overall, very mixed feelings about all this.

I don't like how hard it is to see the loadout of each of your mechs. Also it took me almost 10 minutes to figure out how to save my mech loadouts. Who's idea was it to have the save button be "checkout". Also it's a shame you can only drag and drop, doesn't seem like it would take much to allow double clicking.
Overall it makes me question why PGI was working on stuff like cockpit glass which is purely cosmetic instead of smoothing out UI 2.0. As someone who has put in money into this game via premium time, phoenix package, and hero mechs I feel like PGI has mixed up priorities and it really disappoints me. Where's the accountability?
I guess if there's any good to come out of this is all the stuff they said they couldn't release yet because of UI 2.0 can finally start to be released.

I like how instead of "save loadout" it says "checkout".

    Pretty sleazy.

***I take it back, I hate the new interface. It's taking like 5 minutes just to find out how many f*cking heat sinks I have on the mech.***

I will be compiling a list within power-point with suggestions and pointing things out.

At the moment, I hate a lot more than I liked so not even voting for mixed feelings. There is a lot of simple things that would dramatically improve the experience. There are also major things that need to change.

    General notes list:
-Rotate mech in home screen w/ default snap view when home is selected
-Highlight hitbox/components in mechlab when selected or hover-over
-Module slots different background color and/or text for empty slots needed
-checkout should be MUCH larger and changed to "SAVE" or something more general. Checkout should be in store only
-Most pop-up windows need larger text and to be larger in general.
-Pop-up windows should be disregarded when ESC is pressed or when "empty space" is clicked outside of the window
-A configure current mech option at home screen
-Tutorial button removed from general UI, displayed another way, perhaps in "settings" or something. Most users will not need to see this more than once, so why show it forever? Maybe an option to disable in the settings
-Redeem Code should be added to Store
-Full window and Full screen setting are the same, redundant.
-Mechlab and Select Mech buttons are redundant. Replace "Select mech" with a button to configure the current mech
-Battlemechs listed in weight class in the store, but identical weights are randomly sorted. Each mech should be grouped together
-Store mech list and owned mech list should have Champion and Hero mechs sorted next to the mechs they belong to. The current grouping makes the champion and hero tabs redundant.
-the show "All" should not show the trial mechs
    -MUCH bigger social button
-Social bumps to top if there is ANY change to status of friends, needs to be removed
-Social should be minimized by re-clicking the social button and/or click empty space
-Everyone should see what the group launch mode
-Launch mode should NOT be in a separate window. It should be a drop down or check box that is hard coded into the group readiness box. Should also retain the previous drop selection.
-Add a "change group leader" option in group box.

among others being added every minute...

I don't know.. I was angry at first but now I'm just disappointed.

I kinda want to keep myself neutral but then I see so many stupid things in the UI. I'm literally on the same page as Solahma.

For example, why do I need to have all the engine sizes plastered with the same idiotic icon all over the better part of my screen and the only thing that tells me which engine I already have, is a tiny tiny number at the bottom right of each icon? Specially while all mech data is located in tiny size on the lower right?

And that's only 1 of the many.

What kind of fifthrate programmer got plastered and missed every user interface course?

If it wasn't because I'm burning premium time, I'd take a break from the game until this UI is improved cause changing mech and shifting engine/modules is a pain.

About the only things I do like is the load time improvements when coming out of a match and the inventory view.

I don't see how the UI changes anything. Why did this have to hold everything up? Sounds like they were using UI2.0 as a big excuse. I don't see why they needed this bloody new UI to accommodate new game modes or whatever.

I find the new UI harder to navigate. Just more bloody buttons and menus to click my way through. Buying a mech is going to suck for new people. Just gonna have to look up whats in a mech now! Is there a way to tell how many mech bays you got now?

Also fullscreen client. What a pain.

So, this is the long awaited U.I. 2.0.??!

Mixed feelings got my vote, with some tweaking/redesign U.I. 2.0 could be a really big improvement.

    Pros:
    - Somewhat shinier graphics.
    - Being able to look at and turn the 'doll' when I select mechs.

    Cons:
    - Mechlab/homescreen is fullsize.
    - Counter intuitive. I want to be able to sell -and- buy equipment from the same screen.
    - Save ffs. NOT checkout.
    - Being able to sort mechs the way I want to.
    - Trial mechs in list.
    - Some Heromechs sort as Champions (Sarahs Jenner, Grid Iron)

SAVE, NOT CHECKOUT----> My reaction exactly. How dumb do these guys think I am, that they can brainwash me into buying crap I don't need with a single word??

I liked this guy's visual summary of the new UI:

I guess if it is true and they can change the UI 2.0 quickly now, the logic and usability of the new UI will be cleaned up quickly.

What I dislike the most is:

    - I have to search for equipped modules even longer as in the old UI.
    - I find it rather difficult to see what weapons are on the actial mech.
    - The "Chekout"-Button ought to be much bigger and labeled "Save and Checkout"
    - A breadcrumb-style navigation should make clear how many times I have to press "Back" to get to the home screen.

But all in all, after working with it a little, you get the hang of it and most things are far better than with the old UI.

    Ideas for improvement:

    - In XCOM - Enemy Within (wich i bought recently), during team loadout, there is a button "gather equipment" or so, wich gathers all equipment from every soldier you have. I would like a "gather modules" button in MW:O.

    - Important buttons should be highlightet and maybe bigger when it is obvious that you will be using them to complete the step, like after equiping modules, you are going to save that mech -> checkout button highlighted (and labeled "save & checkout".

    Well. That's it!

    Gonna see whats coming next...

It's a much more slick design. I think over time they'll make it more intuitive. Being able to see every slot on your mech in one screen and at the same time having access to all of your equipment will make this UI much better. But I'm beating a dead horse because just about everyone else feels the same.

All the bugs that came with it I'm sure will be worked out too.

Here's another, have you tried buying a new mech? Want to know what the default loadout and hardpoint allocation is? What differs one chassi from the other? Try finding that in 2.0 store..

I don't know if it's my computer, but the visual quality is only 30% of the old one. Tried fumbling with the resolution, didn't help.

It looks worse in-game, too, no idea why. FPS dropped, too.

    Functionality? Isn't.

    My summary:

The programmers responsible should get their hands hacked off.
