Something has changed, I can't seem to do damage at all. In five rounds, I've done 311 pts at most in one round. Two have been 55 and 90 pt rounds. It's probably be DX11 changes, seem to have FPS drops (30-40 frames up and down) all over the place. Funny thing is I seem to have that even when running DX9? It wasn't that bad pre-patch.
I've played a few more rounds since yesterday and I notice a split second screen stutter. Does it whether I am on DX9 or DX11. The FPS doesn't seem to drop at all during this but it does definitely seem to freeze, just for a split second. Overall though DX9 seems to run smoother with less framerate bounce.
I wonder if they can do this, on assault, turrets can be used to offset any weight changes. Say for every 10Tons under the opposing team, your base gets a turret. Assault could also be where one team (heavier) is attacking the weaker (lighter) team that is in a base with turrets, but proper lobbies have to be implemented before that can take place. The way it is now, base camping is a very viable tactic. Helping add some confusion from turret fire help the camping team immensely.
They have already mentioned an attack/defend mode so that would be a bit redundant. I would be happy with 3 turrets at each base on assault and then 6 for defenders when that mode rolls out.
ugh -dx11. so much stuttering now. Mechs don't kill people; stuttering framerates do. I guess my i4770k oc'd to 4.2GHz and GTX770 isn't good enough for a low-tier graphics game anymore. Went back to dx9 after 2 games. Really hope it clears up now.
LOL my i7 2600 + 780 Ti had troubles with DX11 a little bit too and I'm not even playing on Very High.
I'll do a proper frame benchmark tonight with and without dx11, I'm getting annoyed. Grrrr...high end system? Bah.
I've enabled DX11 on Very High, and while my frames did drop, the variation in frame rate has gone down, which is good for me. It's surprising that it works for me.
I "Lost Connection" 3 times over 3 hours last night before quitting altogether. That was on top of about a half dozen incidents where I would rubber band. (I timed it, too!) For 60 seconds, every ten second I would rubber band backward 20m in my CTF-3D or 25m in my VTR-9B. "Working as intended."
