It's not only about Lights & Shadows. It's about the true Face of the soul of you while playing MWO. Which kind of Mechwarrior are you on the battlefield? The one shining bright as a Champion on the frontlines or the one who is controlling everything from the hidden. Are you courageous, tactical, insidious, brutal, wicked or just another dude who lost his mind? Tell me! hear:
The pilot that stays back with long range weapons, gets bored and advances to shoot people in their face, regardless of build. I don't know which description fits. I see what you did there with magnificent bastard.
What did he do? These are all tropes, right? I chose my name because Magnificent Bastard is my favorite trope. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MagnificentBastard
It depends on a great many things; the match requirements, a win or loss streak, whether it is a competitive drop or a PUG drop, how my mood is at that exact moment. I am one, two or all of them at one time or none of them.
I donno. Back when we were both in DHB I'd have pegged you as "It's all about me." you got that massive ego working for you. I think it's a firefighter thing. You know... the whole saving lives thing.
I suppose if I have to pick one I'd have to say Chessmaster. The strategy, flow of a match & learning from those I have played with & against is what it's all about for me... the challenge of getting better. Ofcourse sometimes you just have to... exterminate!
I am usually the backstabbing high mobility type... unless I feel lazy then I will sit back with LRM spamming, kinda a gunbunny.
Hmm... to me I don't really like long-range engagements. I prefer to be supportive around close to mid-range with urban or some buildings for protection/losing attention. LRMs are meh for me. I don't really like pecking at enemies. I prefer to charge into battle and flanking without being the center focus. I envision myself as a person who likes to get into the thick of brawls with a grin... sort of like this. In organized drops, I'm very attentive to my squad leader's orders. I prefer to stay with the squad than do skirmishes or scouting alone since I'm usually a pilot who prefers to play in medium/heavy chassis with the role of support. In combat as a squad, I often notify the group of present enemies. "Atlas ECM A6". "Cicada last seen around B4". "Incoming, Jenner at our rear." Not sure what to call myself as...
Which is the one that's too lazy to read what each of these tropes mean with which to define his own self while playing a stompy robot game?
I am Jonathan McDermitt, tortured children's book author, forced into a life of crime by my mother's debt to a Norwegian drug lord.
