A little one I made for fun because the first thing when I saw it had 4 missile slots was - "I could blow up the whole god damn world with this thing":

Max Engine allowing for some quick movements
2 Large Lasers for long range hits
4 SRM6's because... because why not

    400 rounds of SRM ammo

Is Artemis worth it now for SRMs? When I used them a month or so ago, it didn't seem to do anything.

As long as you have line of sight, Artemis makes an excellent addition to your effectiveness.

I like this 'mech in theory...I'll check back to see how things go. I don't really like the Jaggermech as a brawler, SRM's just seem like a brawling weapon to me.

I experimented with a more brawlerly (my own word) version of this - same load out but a STD 280 instead, no Artemis and more armor and HS - 16.

Worked well with me and survivability went up a ton. Often found myself with half a torso still plugging away instead of dead from XL.

Would you be averse to posting said build as an example, or providing more details?

I am still tweaking it - When I have the final kinks worked out I will post after more testing so its worthy of sharing.

Here is my modification - after testing most balanced was just straight out switching the XL 315 for a STD 280, removing artemis and adding heatsinks to stay at 14 total. Armor is essentially the same as well. Just adds a bit of survivability and just an overall fun build.

I like your variant. My modification is to swap the Large Lasers for PPCs, drop the engine a bit (260XL) and beef up the armor (399). I can snipe from long range and whatever gets in my face gets a snoot full of SRMs.

I have a slow variant of your build OP. The MG's are great for taking enemy weapons off line.

I will run this after I'm done testing the SRM improvements, if they are improved then this should make for one amusing game of peekabo. ;)

I've run a similar build on the Jagger-A before, and the concept is good. An SRM24 on a Heavy Chassis is brutal stuff, and the pair of LLasers provide excellent support, particularly at range.

Here's my take on it; as always, I chose to go with a sort of compromise. No Artemis, same 7 tons of ammo as Lan's version, but with an XL300 engine and 15 DHS.

(I may have to try an Artemis version sometime soon, though, to take advantage of the tighter burst.)

As I said, the concept is good. But in practice, I found this less satisfying than other SRM builds, primarily I think on account of the poor weapon convergence between the arms on the Jagger. But if you fire the SRMs in packs of 2 (each arm separately), the convergence problem is less noticeable.

as much as 2LLas are appealing for 4 SRM6+A I'd run this :

The heat penalty for firing 4 SRM6 at once is 1.20, it can be easily ignored, with artemis the convergence is nice.
