No long explanation here. Just a solid firebrand that takes advantage of the new sweet spot the AC10 is in. Decent alpha, 8 dps sustained with just the 2 AC10's, lasers give you something to do while the AC10's are reloading. While it is surprisingly good at brawling(have pulled of 2 3v1's with it,) it also snipes sufficiently. Though the ac10 only does 5 dmg at range, but it still hits harder than an AC5 or AC2 at 1350 meters. It may seem wasteful, but you have 7 tons of ammo and lasers which mitigate the problem. The AC10's also produce nearly no heat so can be spammed just like an AC5 firing across the map. It's brawling is enhanced due to the amazing pinpoint of all arm mounted weapons and weapon cool downs that give you down time to roll the damage. 1- AC10's 2- Med and Large Laser 3- Large Laser "TURNT UP" Version: Balanced Technically can be done on any Jager, but only the FB can do it right. A force to be reckoned with. Similar to the 'regular' 2LLas/2UAC5 build, but 2 UACs as main weapon is too much chance to lose an integral part of your DPS. Hence, I replaced one with an AC10 so even during jam, you have a relatively low-heat weapon, or 28 good ranged firepower. The LLas are less 'alpha' than PPCs, but they also give you the opportunity to adjust your aim. All weapons are high-mounted as with most jagers, so yeah, that's cool. The AC10 has 4 tons of ammo so you can use it very often. If you die before making use of this, try to get a DHS, more armor, or anything else that suits your needs.
Yeah! You ripped off Trounce's third completely different build posted to the same thread! How did you not catch that scanning thread titles, S7? What a jerk! (love you both) Whoever puts up the build, it is absolutely brutal. Everything in high-mounts, solid alpha, solid DPS, good cooling. This is a back-line support mech that will absolutely tear up people's faces. Dig it.
As Chattahah explained very nicely, I totally knew it was a rip-off, just looking at the 2xAC10 I figured that the thread must've contained a build with AC10+UAC5! Regarding the 3 different builds in 1 thread (and thus indeed not being able to find this searching thread titles), I'm mostly annoyed at the inconsistency at which this is being handled. I've done lighter modifications which had to be split up into separate threads (exchanging MLas for other types of Las on one of my Banshee builds for example).
I tend to agree with Seven, this is a problem (however minor) which may need to be addressed slightly more often. Things like changing an AC10 to an LB10X, or swapping a MLaser out for a SPLaser, I get. They're minor changes which really make little difference to the overall build. But swapping an AC10 for a UAC? Bit more of a difference. I'm not saying I disagree with people posting variations on their builds (as Trounce has done here), but I do think there needs to be a limit on how far you can go before you've essentially put together an entirely different build, which technically should have its own thread. (At this point, I am reminded of another of Trounce's threads, his "Wrath of God" Banshee, which has several significantly different builds all posted under one thread. A similar situation to the one we have here.) Now, whether swapping an AC10 for a UAC counts as a change sufficient to warrant a new thread is not up to me to decide. (Mason?). But if anyone (and I'm not pointing fingers, Trounce; just stating this in general) posts a variation on their build which is not implied in the thread's title (even by simply saying "+alternate UAC variant") then I really don't think they can blame someone else for not noticing said variation, even to the point of accidentally duplicating it in a new thread (as Seven has unintentionally done here).
Too serious, too much over analysis! The center theme is Large Laser + AC10's. Wrath of god was as much dps as you could shove on a banshee(pre nerf,) with varying levels of ridiculousness. I'm not actually sore about anything, really just pointing out that I already had put the build together to rub 7's face in it... like a "Simpon's did it." moment.
I don't care who gets the credit, so the combination of my face and rubbing it in with this build is probably not very effective . I care about the fact that people will have to do too much scouring to get to a decent 1xAC10 2xLLas 1xUAC5 build with the current title (as you've seen, and I'm usually pretty thorough at looking through past builds). Or even the silly 2xAC10 2xLLas variant that looks eerily similar to Solahma's craziness of 2PPC + 2AC10.
I agree, this should all be merged into my 2x AC10 + 2x PPC build, it is only logical -scratch that, it doesn't look like I ever uploaded that build...
I just want my life to slow down for a few damn days so I can rock this Bitchin' Jag! I haven't run AC/10s in a LONG time and want to see what all this hub-bub is about!
The hub-bub is that it wasn't nerfed like the 2' and 5's, and it does 4 dps with good pinpoint and range. Just to include the remaining mentioned variants: I don't know what you did to fit 2 10's and 2 ppcs, but definitely something wonky.. lol. Anyway can drop to a 5:
