I'm by no means a great player, but I thought the Mech performed great out the gate. Only overheated a few time on Caustic Valley at the end trying to finish off two Atlases (Atlai?). 3 Kills, 7 Assists, 7 Components, 595 Damage Done, 1 spot.
You accidentally posted a TDR-9S in the TDR-5S thread EDIT: I see you noticed. With the small amount of weapons you're putting on it though, the TDR-5S is still a viable other variant for this build. You have enough slots left for endo-steel, which gives you 3 tons. ERPPC is in almost any case (except some niche sniper builds) too hot, though since you don't really have anything else but the heat-neutral AC5 to fire it with at range I suppose it's okay. I think that just two medium pulses is a waste of tonnage though, two regular medium lasers would serve the same back-up/close range purpose and you'd have 2 more tonnage for two extra heatsinks to keep firing your ERPPC or a larger engine to get to safe ranges faster. Mounting a single UAC5 would be a good investment too in my opinion. You could even do 3 medium lasers for more damage (and also more heat so watch out!) and still spend less tonnage. A single UAC5 has the potential to do very high dps until it jams, which ties perfectly with having to cool off your ERPPC. Then again, the chancey nature of the weapon will put some people off. Enough talk: this is my variation of your build:
I would add Endo and Double AMS. 60 ammo for an AC5 is a bit too tight, get an extra ton. But seriously, this build seems to be underpower as a Heavy. You might want a more powerful setup. Oh, And I would suggest you to ditch that ERPPC and use a PPC instead. Yes it has shorter range, but way cooler. Or you can consider downgrade those 2x MPLas, with the tonage and hardpoint you can get 4x MLas instead. Remember, at your current setup, mediums can do it, a bit hotter and less armor, but smaller and move way faster. even this one, somewhat.
