Theory crafting clan mech using IS equivalents is pretty meaningless, there's too many differences (PPCs, XL engines, DHS,... taking 2 slots, ES and FF taking 7, equipment being lighter, etc).
Ok it sometimes works but at great costs: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=12&l=24354905b83a06792b0cf85ada4f2b5621027192
The Adder looks sexy, if the Stormcrow and Summoner look equally as sexy, I will at least be dishing out $90 for that Summoner tier
Too bad they put a ton of flipping deadweight on the CT. I would be more than happy to just rip the Hardpoint out totally, rather than a flipping waste of space you would call a flamer.
Now is this actually true in MWO, or is this just fluff from TT? I can't imagine that they won't let you change weapons in their respective hardpoints, whether they are in the CT or not. This would make the Omnimechs somehow even less customizable than the standard IS mechs.
True, but flamer is still a piece of shit. I wish they would at least allow us to disable the flamer for some weight loss.
Yep, I think it really means "flamer that can't be removed". For those who don't like the weapon it's just one wasted ton. I wish they could change it into a "flamer only" hardpoint, where you can mount a flamer and nothing else, but that you also could unequip.
Suggest to go raise hell on the already shitty official forum (maybe crap like ngng) to make it at least a flamer-only hardpoint. I rather use it for more armor, or use the crit slot and tonnage for a DHS. flamer is deadweight pieces of time waster. (oh stfu for those going to be supporting it for fluff, this is not rp)
Thanks, again, Epikt. That is what I was vaguely remembering! So, they aren't as static of builds as I thought. That's good. However, it seems the Omnimech pods will be a BIIIITCH for Smurfy! Poor guy! lol
Yeah. My first thought after reading how omnimechs will work was for him. BTW, does anyone know how the development of the clan version of his tool is going?
I don't know LOL but I know he is hard at work on the ShipSpecs ShipLab project that he and I and Bolt are working on.
