Too bad there is no dragon with a CT energy hardpoint, cause that would indeed be the firebreath. ;)

Seeing that you are having fun, I won't vote on it, even though I hate flamers.
I will most likely replacw it wit a MLas though, or just rip it out for more armor.

Just so you know, the XL 280 is what I started with because I had it left over from my phract a :p

In all honesty though, I ripped out the PPCs and stuck some med lasers and a SRM 6 in my dragon, and stuck in an XL 325, now it goes vroom vroom at almost 100 KPH!

In all honesty the almost meta build is the closest I've gotten to 1000 damage, with 988. I like your build cause... Well, it's got spunk :p I'm flattered to see my build being tweaked honestly haha.

hmm first of all nice match you got there, realy well played and good explanation why the two ST hardpoints are so damn nice. :)

Now to the build i think the 2xppc and ac/10 combo is great and this build has sufficient ammo and heatsinks to make good use of them. The cons are in my opinion that it is slow for a dragon and maybe that the legs could use a bit more armor. Maybe trade 10 left arm armor for 5 extra leg armor each. Finaly like you already told the flamer is a weapon that realy fits the dragon in terms of style, but as a dragon going that close with enemys is usually realy dangerous so i think it is not going to see that much of use. As a result i want to give it 3.5 stars, because it is better than average but i would still favor the almost meta build especialy SubjectSevens variant. Still i give it 4 stars with the reason that it tends more to 4 stars than 3 stars in my biased view as a dragon fan ;)

    True, true and true!
The speed is imho the biggest concern, but that's a common problem when you try to mount big weapons on a Dragon. Thus it might sound even more foolish to waste tonnage on a flamer, doesn't it?
As for its utility, it's definitely not the build were I use it the most. But for example I really liked it on my "Thunder and Smoke" build: pounding an enemy with AC/2 and flamer seamed to have some psychological effect.

As for ratings, as enileph said it's a fun build. The most accurate and fair rating it could get is "the Almost Meta is definitely better but flamers are awesome!".
