I wouldn't put all my ammo in one place. If they get a crit there, you're probably going to die, and if not, you might as well be dead because you'll be completely out of ammo.

I'm using an XL210 because I had one on another mech (I swapped engines).

When you've made something, especially something that looks very 'easy' in control/grouping, it's always good to use the search function first.

Too little armor, too little ammo. If I ran Quad AC5 I'd keep the XL210 or go XL200, with 8 tons of ammo (at least) and no less than 352 armor on a jager. Or simply get a cataphract-4x, that has more tonnage for this stuff.

Also, I do prefer to put the ammo in my legs. Open ST is scary as hell on a jager, and yes you're probably dead anyway when it opens up, but it also means people are targeting you there (otherwise it wouldn't be open) and why help them with having exploding ammo? Since the Jager has such high hardpoints I think it'd be much easier in most ridgehumping cases to protect your legs.
