We all knew the first was coming, and it worked very well in the PTS, but the second one I only heard about last night. Very excited to see that beam weapons will work properly.
The concept art (1 image) was stunning. The wallpapers were, "Meh." Oh, the patch is probably the best patch we have seen yet in so far as number of issues resolved! I'm impressed, if they live up to it.
Now have to double-tap for UAC effect, otherwise they're just like normal ACs. Interesting, gonna make things slightly more difficult, though with a better feel in the end I think. AC2s will be tight though! Only 0.8 seconds before full cooldown means you have to hit the button again in 0.4 seconds for full effect. Gonna be interesting seeing (and hearing) all the different dakkas going off!
ARGH!!! After a so long patch, network error on connecting and MWO site is down... Why PGI, why? Victim of their success? I think so, it is really good in a special way, but I can wait they relaunch their servers
UACs don't work now, period. you can hold the trigger all you want, it wont fire a second shot no matter how long you wait.
It has been like that in the public test server for the UAC. In the end though, it is better for ammo control. If you want to do it by holding down you just have to setup rapid fire button, and that is the most basic of function available to anything from joysticks to any ok mouse.
My first test vehicle on my Dire Wolf was a 6 UAC/2 + ? ML. Utterly pointless and yes it jams. Your sustained fire capacity was non existent as no ability to lead and constantly hammer a target so I shelved it. Can't imagine a situation where IS AC 2's wouldn't be better in that role or in fact C-UAC5's.
I did read the patch notes. Here is what i am saying: ANY weapon, if you hold down the fire button will automatically refire after cool down, now UAC will not fire after cooldown, under any circumstances when the trigger is held down. I am not talking about the UAC second tap, i am talking about just a regular second shot. Anyone else see this? I took out the Chainsaw to deal with the pesky claners, and it wasn't as much fun. Aim gets more messed up, because you have to keep pushing the button just to fire the weapons. MLasers (MGs, Missiles etc) work just fine, you keep the button pressed, they keep firing after cooldown.
I see they are improving Click Warrior Online, only not they are moving it from the UI to actual gameplay
I am not sure about that. This game lags now. Oh, and for the Chainsaw build... remember that you maybe facing a chainsaw mad cat.
I like it! And I don't even play the clans. New models and effects really gives a shine to the game, and we have a totally new meta for everybody. As to wether everything clan is OP, I'm not that sure. They do have a lot of differences, but for now I think they are fairly balanced (A litte to the OP side, but you gotta sell your s***, right?) I've encountered some server instability as well; one game everybody had to quit after running in the same place for 2 minutes. Sure, this will get fixed....in 4-5 patches Hitbox detection seems a little buggy at times, but it could just be me.
