This thing does great for me. Gets them with the range, never runs hot and tends to surprise the hell out of people who get close. To save money, you can also do the same with the other variants... (you can either move them to match top build or just leave omnipods on like this to save on cash early on and not have to keep swapping each round)
I think this really needs the CT armor upped, arms as well. Here is my take on it Personally I will drop the DHS and add a Clan Active Probe, gotta have those streak locks.
I will give it a try. I have not lost 1 v 1 with a Timberwolf yet with this setup... Averaging 700-900 damage ***Update, tried it but really felt the missing DHS on Terra Therma and Caustic Valley... Maybe dropping 1 and adding the BAP is not a bad idea, but removing them both seemed to cause too much heat for my gameplay. With timing JJs and other experienced player moves (rotating/blocking/avoiding) damage I do not find the CT armor a big issue.
Wow, this is more or less the same idea I came to when tinkering with the missile omnipods. 5x C-SSRM6 sounded interesting, but I wanted some additional range as well as less ammo-dependency. This build works for sure, saw a teammate with something very similar on a Timberwolf yesterday.
Made an account just to tell you I love this build. I did cut the ammo down and put an AMS in though. Never come close to using all 350 ssrms.
My scratchpad has it slightly different - 3 tons ammo, more armor, no additional HS. With streaks, I don't use quite as much ammo as I'm not dumping shots - and the recycle time on clan streaks is painful.
Not a bad idea... I have thought about it a few times... I swear it depends on the map (which I wish I knew what I was dropping in ahead of time) IE> River City/Terra Therma = have used all of them before, however Caustic Valley/Forest > usually could reduce the count by at least 1-1.5 tons of ammo. Think part of it is lends to my weapon groupings> WG1 = 2x C-ERLL (Linked Fire) WG2 = 3x SSRM6 (Chain Fire) WG5 = 3x SSRM6 (Linked Fire)
