The mech is just like it sounds. Lets face facts, the Daishi is very, very, very slow and its all CT making it not the best brawler. On the other hand, with proper pods, it can have a very good LRM phase and a very good close quarters kill phase. You have to play this Daishi in two phases for it to be effective. In the first phase, you use your ample LRM's and TAG to support your team and at all costs, avoid damage. As the enemy mechs start to become damaged and their brawlers come in, you now have opponents with open armor panels coming to you. With your MK II, you have a 16.5% crit increase for your beam and projectile weapons and you should have a full armored CT if you played phase 1 right. Unload your CUAC/20 and your 6 CMPL into the exposed torsos and watch the kills rack up.
I would suggest something with more range wile gaining dps in many close range situation. Clan Pulse Lasers dont have much upside right now.
I have been running something similar with 2 CERLLs for a little more ranged direct damage. Still have a 61.3 alpha with groups 1 and 4 for close up fighting. The CUAC/10 in the arm and the option for the lower arm actuator helps get those hard to reach places on hilly maps.
