Thiak's build is more versatile, but this was my first love!

    SCR-D "Mad Splatter MKII" (5x cSRM6+A, 1x cERSLas)

This build runs a bit cooler than Thiak's. The range is much lower, but it's a back up weapon if you manage to run out of ammo on a very long match. The ERSLas can also be fired in combination with the SRMs without over heating nearly as often.

I played around with the srm30 a bit yesterday, it can be pretty fun. I would however switch to the prime head, drop a ton of ammo and then you can add a clan medium laser which at least gives you a little poking outside of srm range.

Thanks, your right. Way too much ammo. That should've been a dead give away that I missed something as important as an SRM6, lol. I actually started running your build a couple of days ago, I was going to post it instead but you beat me to it. :p

Yeah, that's Thiak's build. It's actually what I run. If you need a whopping +2.5 exp bonus though, this is your mech, lol.

I highly intend to make one of my Stormcrows like this. I have a Summoner that is outfit much the same way (SRM30) and it is an absolute beast. I doubt the SCR will perform poorly in comparison with the same build.

Just realized I never rated this. I run mine with an MLas in the head so I can poke at people when they are out of range, and 750 ammo. This thing is a beast on most maps, provided you play it smart.

Good build but if your team dont break the distance you can do Anything more than 270m.

True enough, but that's part of the risk vs reward of any brawler like this. The key, however, is learning to maneuver on maps to allow you to get in and do damage even if your team turtles and camps at long range. Even on maps like Alpine, I've managed to get great rounds with SRM splatbuilds (or SRM/SPL combo builds). Just remember that the joy of this build is that it can unleash hell (60 damage alpha) and take little damage in return if you time things right. Move out, unleash hell, and be at a trajectory that puts you back behind cover immediately. Even if your team loses, playing smart in this mech will almost guarantee you 500+ damage most rounds. Though overall, I'd say the SRM/SPL combo version is nastier, this one packs quite a whallop.
