For those of you with this Module, do you notice any lights or sounds that indicate when you have been targeted, or when a lock on you has been lost?

I saw a post on reddit about this but I haven't been able to hear it or see anything... Any help would be appreciated. If someone posts a sound clip of it I would be eternally grateful :)

I have used it since it went live, Radar Dep does not change or give any visible or audio cues that I am aware of. I have more then a hundred games with it so if there is, I'll be embarressed! :D

I noticed a new sound but couldn't tell what it was...maybe this?

a short sound and a yellow interference in the screen that first I never noticed.

I have not noticed a new sound; though I only have about 10 games with mine.

What I would really like is if the NARC gave an audible sound.

I've heard there is supposed to be a small sound. I use radar dep. but I almost never play with the in game sounds active since I'm either listening to TS and/or music at the same time.

Not heard a sound before this patch. I wait till I get the normal warning and dive into cover to break the lock. o_O

I can confirm both the sound (one quick chirp), and a cockpit light visual effect when Radar Depp takes you off the enemy scope. Next best thing to ECM is knowing when you've been targeted, and when the lock is broken.

If you're having trouble proc'ing this effect, drop Assault mode and play with some enemy turrets.

There is definitely a sound. I can't see any visual markers though. What am I looking for exactly? Is the light on the cockpit frame or is it on a MFD?

A yellow interference, looks like a wave to me, in the cockpit. Last less then a second so it can be skipped, or might as well need some visual options that you could have disabled ?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm sure the location changes for each cockpit as well.

If you show up on your enemies radar, no sound is given. If you disapear from ALL enemy radar, you receive a light, high pitched, cricket like, sound.

I noticed it immediately when scouting with a light and use it all the time now with heavies while sniping. Check corner for enemy, when you see them and they are within radar range, duck back ... and assuming none of the enemy is behind you, you will receive the audio trigger.

Assuming you are sniping over a ridge and the inbound missles are coming from straight ahead of you, when you get the missle inbound message, backup till you hear the sound, then turn and continue backing up ... missles will miss you every time.

Well personally I'd move sideways out of the line of sight to avoid rather than moving away in line with the missiles. ;)

I always move straight backwards until behind ridge/cover to keep the missiles on their path, and then sidewards, that they cannot adjust their flight path, works always, even before radar deprivation.

I've been hearing some strange sounds when I was in my cECM kit fox last night... and I didn't have this module (no reason for it in this mech )

Wonder what it was. It was a strange electronic/futuristic chirp. Maybe it has something to do with my ECM being countered? TAG'd? no idea...

Gonna do a bit of a necro here...

Yes, there is such an audio-visual alert. This occurs both when you are selected as a target (i.e., when they press R to target you specifically) AND when you disappear from their sensors.

No, this is not related to the Radar Deprivation module. All 'Mechs have this.

No, it's not a recent (even as of the time of the OP) feature. It's always been in the game. Problem is that the sound is very low volume, and the light flash is very brief and dim. In some 'Mech cockpits its virtually impossible to see at all.
