A big gun in a little package. The best thing about the Clans is the Omnipods and the ability to change hardpoints on the mech's. I wanted to try something that I thought would just be silly and mostly for laughs but found that it really works well and have been playing it all day today and loving it. Originally I had this mech equipped with 3 cERSLAS but wanted more ammo for the LB20X, so I dumped the SLAS in the left arm and put in another 1/2 ton of AC ammo. I have the LB20X on weapon group 1 and the lasers and flamer on group 2. The Alpha strike on this is only a 31.5 but it would seem the last thing other mechs expect is to be critted in just 1 or 2 shots from a light mech. As long as I keep moving and only attack/brawl when other teammates are near, it works really well because the enemy assaults and heavies are always concentrated on the larger "more dangerous" mechs.
I love this build. It is like having a mini Yen-Lo-Wang. Same speed almost the same firepower, with less armor. And the sound of the LBX20. It is beautiful.
I drive a very similar build (ML instead of 2xSL) and it's a real blast,... pun intended. The only downside is that if you are so unlucky as to fall into a brawl with other lights, you either have to waste precious LB-X ammo or pray your team will save your backside. As the OP said, stick close to the big boys with this one, hope the enemy looks over you and then go annoy the hell out of them.
