Vote the *Mechspecs Representative* for the MWO Player Council!

So we are voting the *Mechspecs Representative* for the MWO Player Council!

So my suggested plan would be like this.
We vote until we get one person with the most votes into the top 3 places for sure,
Then we vote the person with the 2nd most vote into the council if we can.

If there are plans for a bigger council, then the person with the 3rd most vote would be in.

We are running 2 votes per person here.

How do we start from here. Should we just add the names to the google doc thing first?
Also, we may need a banner of sorts to urge the people here to vote for them.

I hail from mechspecs, due to internal nomination process we are a bit slow to join the thread, and as such, it is locked when we are ready. As one may expect, mechspecs (as well as the smurfy dude) works slightly different from other clan-like community, but nonetheless we are a sizable community with many members and visitors. We did some internal voting and nomination before someone is chosen. I apologize for the late contact.

About this vote. Well, initially i indirectly expressed that i didn't intend to participate in the Player Council. Mostly due to my new job/time schedule beginning next month. But if you guys want me to speak for us from mechspecs.com, i can do it as far as it doesn't take too much time. But i prefer someone else from the candidates, who has more time & skills for this job *coughMichaelcough*. I rather like to be a helpful Advisor than being the Politician.

Sad that both Michael and You will not join it, you know who I nominate. But yes, work and life, they are painful and colorful things.
I will try to work on it with the time I have.
Will report back on things happening. But I do think you guys have better ideas on things.

Nobody says an advisor cannot get an advise from the community.
You were selected as a representative to give this forum a voice. That voice should reflect the opinion of the majority here to fulfill that role.....

We are here to give you arguments and advise... in return we only require you do a helluva job.

 

As said, as long as it doesn't take too much time i will back enileph up in the conversation with Russ, if really both of us get elected into the Council (what I really doubt).

about exactly these mentioned aspects. Title of the Thread should be clear so that many members here knows that it's about something directly toward Russ within the Player Council Initiative.

Everybody who wants to say something about the aspects, pls post constructive feedback, what to change and explain how it can rather improve gameplay but less making things more complicated. We could exchange opinions & knowledge and sum it up in a summarized form before going to tell Russ, what we as subcommunity think can make MWO better.

If we as mechspecs.com can provide some good feedback + viable change suggestions we can encourage them to keep on providing good Content.

p.s. Last week i posted in the Clan Wave 2 thread just to express how i'd compare MWO with D3 -> difficult start/raging Community in the beginning but hope for the future:

Honestly, I have little time to get too involved with something like this. Sure, i'm on the boards periodically throughout the day. I do have some time to get involved with discussions, research, and compiling data. Problem is, I'm planning to move and getting married in less than a year, so my true FREE time is restricted to a 1, maybe 2 hours a day if i'm lucky. I'd much rather spend that time painting models or stomping around in MWO.

I'll see how this community "Player Council" plays out, but I'll likely not be heavily involved.

The best I can do is, as a representative, be responsible for starting discussions here at MechSpecs concerning the current topics of interest. I would create a thread to discuss the topic and get feedback from the mechspecs community, then compile the data to share with the Player Council.
This could be done a number of ways.

Congrats dude! I'm getting married next year too! (March 14th if all goes well, as Fiance's grandfather is very ill currently). I know what you mean about time :/


Back to the main meat of the topic: I hope this idea works out well. It would be cool to have someone represent us here at Mechspecs, and possibly get some feedback heard. I'm most interested to see what happens with Information Warfare/Roles of various mechs.

 

I wonder if she makes good pie? Maybe have a wedding pie instead of cake?

Somehow I don't think creampies are good alternatives to wedding cakes.

Maybe the wedding cake should have around 3.14 levels.

 

She's an excellent baker, just ask my increasing waist size... And yea, that was the plan, super pi day! (We were planning on a morning wedding to save money/just because why not! If you're going pi day, go full pi day).
