How did you hear about MechSpecs?

How did you learn about MechSpecs existing? What brought you here the first time?

This is currently just a curiosity question from me. It may help show our exposure so far and suggest venues for future marketing for the staff.

I googled MWO builds or some such, and stumbled across the site. Easy as pie.

 

I was pissed about how the socalled mech lab worked in game and thought there must be something better.
A quick search led me to Smurfy, and then shortly after to here. I've been hooked ever since, even though I rarely play anymore. A good part of what I enjoy about the game is testing out configurations to see what works & what doesn't.

Edit: If I remember correctly, I posted on here before I ever went to the main forums.

This is interesting, hope we get lots more. It's going to be useful.

 

Someone on the boards linked me to the smurfy mechlab to showcase a build, and from there I found mech specs through the smurfy link. I was looking for build ideas as a spring board and I have to say the sight does a great job of that.

Yepp Google as well. Simply type in some Weaponloadouts -> Mechspecs will appear pretty Top of everything

I said google, but now that I think about it some more I believe it was from a link from the mwo wiki.... Maybe?

 

I would not remember.
It is either smurfy related, or links from some old mwo data sites.

 

Knew Michael from MWO before he created the site. Ignored it when he first told me about it. Eventually made an account. Stopped playing MWO. Occasionally return to MechSpecs to bitch about MWO.

I've never listened to any of the MWO podcasts, are any of them worth your time or is it just people carping?
