You will get it down, and once you do... oh man. I USED to be a 3L pilot but the more i play this mech the more i love it.

You can easily lose the 11th Heat Sink and grab an extra ton of MG ammo. Heat is very manageable.

 

Wish I'd remember to screenshot them (I normally only screencap 1000+ games), but I finally got the XL295 in my Ember and started playing it yesterday...First match, no efficiencies at all unlocked, 758 damage (Seismic and UAV as modules). Second match, 690. Third, 713.

Had a few bad matches where I "only" got 250 or so, but I play my Jenner enough that I was able to adjust to the different style. However, there is only one thing I dislike about the Ember thus far: unlike the Jenner, it's just a bit taller, so if you go under the ramps on HPG Manifold...your head can get you stuck. Didn't get me killed, but it got damn close...and then I got 800+ damage Loving this little guy.

Got the basics in about an hour, and it's become my official CBill Farmer...now I just need two more Firestarters to get it mastered.

 

I don't have one, but seeing its role, I would totally run a BAP+Target Info Gathering.

I got to 398th place with the Ember this weekend. My best game was 598 damage, 3 kills and 8 assists. It's so easy to get kills with this build, and I think it is actually stronger than it was 6 months ago when the Ember first came out. This is still clearly the best firestarter and possibly the best IS light build.

 

Bumping up the classic builds.

 

After all this time, still one of the best Ember builds. There's a reason it's so popular.

 

It is one of the best builds and mechs there is. I enjoy every drop in this thing, it got a feel of easy-mode. Plus, its a great way to get money too. This little bastard even let me get first place in the last two weekend challenges. Edit: ahhh the challenge is still going on. Hope this doesn't mean bad luck

 

and for some reason it just doesn't work for me.. but I get 600-800+dmg games in Oxide and Anansi.. I want to make the Ember work for me but it just keeps bumping into things and shedding legs
