It's absolutely awesome against other lights, but it also works great when dancing around the feet of heavies and assaults. The mix of weapons lets you dish out great DPS at close range, with very good heat efficiency. Max engine for the speed, BAP for the SSRM2, MGs for the crits, MPLasers for the burst, and JJs just because they're awesome. Here's a quick example of its work, using the Streak variant. Nothing too fancy, but a fairly good score for a light. This match I danced around the buildings and in the tunnel, assisting my friends in the brawl, before chasing the last PPC Spider off the mountain top (JJs definitely came in handy!).
*BUMP* Saw a guy complaining in chat the other day that the RVN-4X wasn't worth piloting. He was trying to grind XP in it with (if my memory serves me correctly) an LRM-10 and an ERLLaser. :whacko: While others were quick to suggest heavy ballistic (troll) builds, like an AC20 or AC/LB10, I suggested this one to him. I've never found a RVN-4X build that can carry it's own weight so well as this one, despite its being limited to CQC. With a variety of weapons suitable for handling any opponent, jump jets, and excellent DPS and heat efficiency, this thing is an annoying pest.
This is what I'm putting in my 4X. It's already heat efficient enough so I figured why bother with the heat sink? I put in 2 extra jump jets. Other than that, the exact same build you're running.
