Well actually you get: Large Laser Range +7.5% Energy Weapon Range +7.5% Missile Weapon Cooldown +10% AKA 15% range for LL, 7.5% range for other energy weapons and 10% missile cool down so no you don't just get one bonus. Problem with the SIB is right up front it was one of the only 2 semi decent-ish VND chassis. It also loses a quirk for the JJ which really hurts in this case. In fairness I do agree on the % as 7.5% is odd as it pegs the SIB as a tier 3 mech which I struggle to see as being accurate. It didn't help it that you can poptart well in it. It also didn't help certain VND fanatics like Bishop Steiner rabidly campaigning arguing that it was a good mech.
I hadn't bought the mech on its release because I wasn't much inspired by the hardpoints, but grinding the cadet bonus of a new account I tested the trial Summoner. And wow! The build itself is bad, but the mech feels awesome, very agile and pleasant to pilot. Is the Mad Cat this mobile? I wish I could test before spending 16M on a mech, but I'm afraid the trial will be the prime config (without jets).
Yup, its what makes the TBR a delight to pilot but then I like the Summoner too. The JJ changes really did help the Summoner when its in the air.
Quickdraws are back, baby! I just had a great time running around in my QKD-4H. That thing sure can tank while actually dishing out some damage now!
