This mech is designed as a straight forward long range suppressor. I kept it pretty simple, but it nevertheless mounts impressive firepower and sufficient ammo for prolonged shootouts. The mech's very good cooling efficiency also means that such fights won't be decided by heat shutdowns... at least on this side of the double AC5s. Speaking of which, those dual AC5s in the shoulder also allow for ballistic poptarting. Given that both the 5M and especially the 2D2 do have the better hardpoints in general, this will probably be the loadout for my 2H. A possible variant of this mounts AC2s instead of the AC5s, but doesn't run nearly as cool as the original build:

This is essentially the build I'm using at the moment. But since I'm cheap, I cannibalized an XL275, knocked it down to one JJ, stuck with single heat sinks and downgraded the ERLL to a standard. So far, I'm enjoying it. SHD-2H
I'm kinda hating having XLs in the Shadowhawk, even at an XL300, I feel too fragile and slow. Edit: It's taken some getting used to, but all of my Shadowhawk run XLs now.
Solid idea, but the AC/5, 2xAC/2 build uses the 2H's strengths to better effect. I'll give this build a shot on the 5M, though.
i tweaked it to have a bit more speed, this opens the build up to a bit more in and out closer ish combat i think its a solid build that doesnt require fancy skirmishing skills to get the best out of it just straightforward dakka and the laser to help against lights
With the nerf to AC2 DPS (and HPS), I made this variant from the secondary build (which should probably get its own thread):
With the quirkening, this build might be the way to go. The SHD-5M has always been my favorite variant due to the dual AC/5 action you can shove in there, but this is the variant that has an actual quirk for that build. So I give up an energy hard point for +10% AC/5 cooldown? Totally sounds legit to me. Better get the most out of that remaining hardpoint... and here ya go.
