I'm getting a real "neither fish nor fowl" feel off of this build. It's neither a long-range 'mech, nor is it a brawler. Then again, it's high speed should allow you to pick your fights, and your standard engine should allow you to survive any marginal mis-steps. To the nitty-gritty. LRMs are (currently) no longer king. I'd ditch the AMS, downgrade your ASRM6 to another ASRM4, move the ammo to the RT, and add CASE for your ammo stores. (May as well get the use out of that STD engine). This will also free up enough tonnage to put a MPLAS in the right arm (or a MLAS and an additional ton of armor, or a MLAS, SLAS and a half-ton of armor). Edit: Reserve the MPLAS for poking harassers (it's easier to hit with than ER PPCs), and you shouldn't have any worse heat than you already have.
This is how I use this mech build. I start at long range and run up and lunch SRMs. I soften you up and then bring you down. But I will say that right now this build is not great. As for lights and other huggers I use the SRMs. I pretty good at hitting with them. Also I use my arms as shield to take some of the damage. But I do like your build. I may try it. I am not sure about losing my AMS. They will fix LRMs and SRMs.
