    Most of these suggestions seem to just make the defenders already easy job even easier. IMO the defenders job should be far harder against brawlers and moderately easier against lights. The reason that people are zerging is its essentially the only semi reliable way of winning as an attacker. Against anything except zerg its currently a zero skill proposition defending.

    Depends on how you tune the respawn delay. Say there are 3 generators that have to be taken down within 1 minute of each other. Each time one is taken down the defender's respawn time doubles. If the attackers make a fully grouped push on one generator while the defenders are spread, and spend 5 minutes repeatedly killing it, then the defenders then have a 16 minute respawn timer. If the attackers then kill enough of them, they can easily position and kill the other 2 generators at the same time. That would require the defenders to scout the attackers and adapt if they didn't want to lose.

    One could also change the way the generators work. Give them some sort of shielding which regenerates, but make them much more exposed. If an attacker's dps is below the regen rate, then the generator won't die. If it's above (say, a bunch of heavy brawlers hitting it) it explodes.

    Interesting idea and I get what you're suggesting but it hits two important points - should a player be locked out of a battle because of someone elses actions and should a single player be unable to effect the outcome of a battle?

    Currently the core problems reside around the fact that those defenders are in their defensive positions well before the attackers can do anything and can simply then wait for the attackers while being able to easily relocate to cover any gate. I've literally seen a company of King Crabs etc in position before the attackers could reach the battlefield. At that point its irrelevant their respawn rate because your ability to punch through is almost non existent. You still have to attack though and in that case we were down 4 mechs before we realised that there were 1,200 tons of mech waiting for us. Even if you finally punch through you've lost so many mechs that you just don't have the firepower to succeed before their second wave is back as their drop off point is so close.

    Coincidentally we lost badly. ;)

    Same here, I've tasted its bittersweet waters but thrice.

    Maybe a mechspeccer CW sync drop sometime?

    I would chose CW Attack Mode. Yeah it's aweful atm but i like Challenges and the absolute satisfying feeling to crush the defenders even though being unfairly handicapped. It's feeling like D-Day! The absolute Horror. WTF make the impossible possible FTW!

    ..BUT! But that long waiting time keeps me from playing CW. I make a Coffee, i go to Toilet, i can finish cooking my dinner, and it's still haven't found/make a game. I could have even played a whole LOL round in the meantime. WTF.

    Sorry i'm too impatient for this, so i voted for Conquest.

    My suggestions would not make defense easier.

    My suggestions are to make there be more entry points that require defense to actually split up to cover them, instead of just watching one, and to make multiple objectives where capturing one means attackers win (meaning defenders must cover both simultaneously).

    The increased health is because attackers can win easily on coordinated zerg rushes as long as they have loghts with arty.

    *bangs head as tries to remember what was happening Monday* :banghead:

    I'd love to get together and do some CW drops with you guys! (If only we could without having to send Unit invites . . .) Still, a Sync wouldn't be all that unlikely, what with planet selection and all . . . hit me up to try this any time! :)

    I never got anything but a friend request from Azae.... Spelling... I don't remember seeing a message, we would have loved to have done a sync drop.

    I'm sure we all go check mechspecs TS3 then switch back to our main ones when no one is on. Just need to organize here or in game.

    On that note, just an FYI: if I'm online, I am always sitting in the Mechspecs TS; I may go AFK every now and then, but I'm still always logged into that TS (usually sitting in the "on other TS" room). So if anyone wants to contact me to arrange a drop, definitely feel free to poke me or send me a text message, and I will get back to you as soon as I get back to my desk, or as soon as the match I'm in ends. Don't be shy . . . ;)

    That sounds like a much better plan than relying upon the horrible messaging system of MWO. It's not 2002, PGI.

    Though yeah, most times it is very empty. Fherot hops in every now and then, as does Michael and Boltthrower; and I've seen Durandal and a few others on as well.

    Don't know that I've seen you on though, Remarius. Different time zones . . . ;)

    Clan warfare, attacking or defending. I honestly don't mind. Hardly every play the 'normal' modes now :)

    Welp, starting tomorrow, we see a new mode of attack and defense...there will now be 3 mini-generators to destroy before the orbital cannon can be taken down. This is being implemented to stop the zerg rush tactic, but may make things hell for normal attack groups. We'll see how it works out.

    The dropship changes should make things a bit easier for attackers, but I agree that defense will likely still be too strong.

    TBH, in the end, I see the base turrets getting toned down to mostly MLas versions in the future...they just hurt too much on top of the defending mechs in most cases. They also still need to just separate the queues again, as Michael has noted, and get it over with. I know they really want CW to be a premade battleground, but it's just not going to work out that way.

    Well in fairness I don't sit there I just pop on if no one is on our unit channel on Comstar NA. I've only ever seen Michael and Boltthrower in an admin channel. ;)

    I only pop on if I'm really playing with people...otherwise, what's the point? ;) If I'm streaming on Twitch, it just adds a bunch of random voices who have no idea what I'm replying to (since they can't see the chat), and if I'm playing solo...well, they don't need a play by play of my matches during theirs :p
