EDIT: Since the JJ/PPC-changes this build is not as good as it used to be. For "The New Style" look here plz: http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=7556.0 hear: :whacko: 2x JJ version:
This abomination of a build is already called the "Metawolf". I used it a few times but I prefer 2x SRM6 instead of the second PPC. Way too hot. But usually you alpha the second PPC just when you can afford the heat. Some people run the two PPCs in the RA and the Gauss in the RT because of convergence.
It's more powerful than a DS. 35 pinpoint alpha + 10 splash damage at longer ranges, in a faster, more agile package that can lose a torso. Oh well
Similar to http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=7031.0 Yes, some people (especially comp. players) run it like this, because of weapon convergence. Further more you can use the whole LT for shielding as well. The problem is, if your gauss gets critted due to bad luck/positioning your whole right/left side gets blown of. Weapons gone, game. Therefore I prefer the second ERPPC in the LT and the Gauss in the RA. BTW, you should put your load-out into the subject.
Hm, I'd like to have 4 tons, but generally I agree with you. Even though I would rather take an additional DH in instead of a TC.
Drop some armor and squeeze in another DHS if you want to go that route. The increased dissipation is welcomed.
In a competitive setting, people should favor the torso PPCs and a Gauss arm. That will prevent a Gaussplosion from stripping you entirely, as well as leaving you with last stand weaponry should you lose a side torso so you're never a stick that can be safely ignored.
Pretty good! That additional JJ is almost mandatory. I'll update the OP. For my taste, even with two JJs, the TBR still feels very sluggish right now. I try to fit in at least 3 JJs on my builds. Even with 1xcGauss + 1x cERPPC the TBW is still pretty powerful (and still way better than the SMN), thus I am experimenting with these builds right now:
A modification of this outdated config. After the slight buff to PPC velocity, the desync with gauss is a little more manageable. Because of hard coded JJs, this config is essentially limited to the S variant. Had to gimp the left arm and some armor all around to fit an adequate quantity of ammo. Still, very enjoyable build in the right hands.
