I picked up a FS9-S over the weekend and for the first 5 or 6 games I noticed it was fragile. Really fragile, like I lost at least one arm early into every match. It has been a while since I had played my Firestarters and I didn't remember them being this easy to disarm, but thought maybe all the quirked-out mechs had something to do with it. When I went to go change my loadout to move some weapons to the zombie slots, I realized I forgot to increase the armor in the arms up from the stock loadout.
Ran my new King Crab with 6x MGs... On purpose. (including SRMs and LPLs) Didn't do half bad, but, I still felt amazingly silly with a 100T MG boat. Trollolololol!
Not a derp per say, but this was his last SRM6 salvo... he had only 6 missiles left.. you can see the response.
That damn match...to explain to those who weren't there, he was in a Hunchback with 1 MLas and 1 SRM6 left, against a Hellbringer with 2 ERMLs left (1 head, 1 arm). He started out by hugging the HBR, who was in worse shape, but he got caught up trying to get on top of the canyons...and let the HBR get over 600m away, so he had a HUGE sniping advantage, and managed to take out the Hunchie's last MLas. Due to a mixture of both not picking the best places to shoot (he had a cored CT front, but it still had back armor) and missing shots, it was DAMN close. I honestly thought he missed the final shot, but it put the HBR down...barely. We were going absolutely nuts in TS, wishing we could rip the controls from his mech away and do it ourselves I actually saved the replay afterward, so I could upload it onto Youtube if people want to hear us going crazy hehe
You people have such fun stories :O The best I got was quite some time ago (like a year or something), where I teamkilled my already legged friend by running into him and destroying his one remaining good leg :x
Was trotting toward the enemy line in the new DWF Bipolar. After we had, seconds ago, just finished talking about how you should NOT alpha this build... I confused my weapon groups and alpha'd my build
Maybe not as bad but one of the groups of new players I've been helping asked after the gold mechs so I trotted out the DWF and had a blinder of a round... thought WTH I'll run out the 12 ERSL 4 MG Nova! We had the swamp and I attacked up the ramp at a Orion and SCR at the top in C4 with support so I gambled they'd go for the scary stuff with me. All went well until I fired my weaponry forgetting I'd changed mechs... SHUTDOWN! Both targets instantly decided I was an easy kill and started plastering me... by some amazing luck my rookie compadres save my butt and get straight in their face so heavily damaged I back away and nip round the corner for a breather for a couple of secs... Straight into the DWF coming that way ... which drops 2 gauss and a battery of LPl/ERML straight into my non existent armour as I try to twist jump off... Went from a cocky 7 kill and 997 damage battle to a 0 kill and 90 damage battle.
But he sucked at it! @Falconium should let me know if he wants me to edit out the TS chatter, I'll go ahead and upload the video (since I did well in it anyway haha)
I'm going to review the video to make sure we didn't say something awful If not, I'll upload it soon. Edit: Reviewed the footage, and it's fine. For some reason Shadowplay didn't record my mic like it's supposed to, so nothing I said is in there, and I probably swore the most...so video will be up after I wake back up
Yeah, Durandal was so mad, if you could've heard him, wow, I mean . . . Just kidding, we actually weren't all that bad that I can remember. I mean sure we were raging at the guy, but we were laughing at his stupidity while doing it, so all good.
Um, judging by the way he piloted, I'm guessing he only survived the entire match because he sat behind us and used us as meat-shields . . . so I'd say we did our part.
Well, I got the video uploaded...and then found out that something screwed up the sound and put all the sound files out of order So I gotta re-do it ><
Nah, it's a problem with Premiere apparently...the video clips are 100% fine on their own, but as soon as I import them into Premiere, it starts screwing up the audio and putting it in a random order. Thankfully, I was streaming on Twitch at the time, so I've made a highlight of the video there and exported it to Youtube. It won't be 1080p quality like I wanted...but you can at least see how aggravated we were Video is being processed, will officially post soon.
And video! Sorry if it skips a bit, the quality is always lower if I do a Twitch export instead of a Shadowplay recording. And you get to see my Facerig avatar the whole time
