Seeing as nobody has posted it here yet... 3x ER PPC on chain fire/all fire. Can take about 3 alphas before shutdown. Solid build due to quirks
I'd still go for a STD version (already discussed here: https://www.mechspecs.com/threads/tdr-9s-lightning-bolt-4x-erppc-xl300.7986/) I'm running this:
Lol its the meta nicholasyt and my favorit. Sorry schnaetz your build is too slow for me. As a longranged sniper you must be quick in a different position. With ER-PPC you havent so much burst-dmg to stand an attack of more than one enemy so you must be away when it starts....
You don't have to be sorry, it's just a personal prefference. I was referring to Community Warfare, where the 9S is dominant. For non CW games I would also go for the XL variant, I guess. The switch to STD for CW payed of for me so far...killing a Thunderbolt with STD is annoying for any opponent. Speed (7kph difference) is enough for the relatively small distances you have to deal with when attacking / defending gates. Having 2 ERPPCs (optimal) left after losing a side torso means you will still have enough firepower to take down enemies.
5/5, Best. Mech. Ever. Seriously, it has been a wrecking ball for me. I get 2 alpha's before shutdown, I avoid brawls (although its not awful in them), and I love face-shooting lights. 30 points of damage into a Locust, Jenner, or a Firestarter's legs is enough to send them to the grave. Its forced me to work on my aiming, too. Best kill I ever had was knocking a Mist Lynx out of the sky on HPG Manifold. He had to be 100 meters in the air, firing at a teammate. He never made it to the ground.
I eas running this, 2 DHS less, but a bit faster, and an arm for peek shooting. The 3x ML can be used up close where ERPPC is not worth the heat.
