Notes here, in the spoiler area: Spoiler So no quirk pass, but we get a new CW map and counter-attack gametype to try, could be interesting. MLX for CB, HBR for MC. Interesting patch, all things considered.
This is nice. Hit patch and the mwo splash screen closes. Repair the install and it works fine only to come home to find the hot fix requiring me to patch the game, closing it again. Fuck this.
well, I'm not sure about the AC2's, but I have seen people try them out and fail. It's like they forgot how to use them...
If nothing else, the hotfix was a good thing this time...River City day/night was having some major issues, and the new counter attack had a bug where attackers would lose if they destroyed the MFB before killing all of the defenders, so those should be fixed now at least. I didn't see any AC2 stuff in the patch notes...did they remove the ghost heat again? Edit: Another nice bonus, logged in to 2 new mech bays thanks to my CW time with both Kurita and Steiner If there was ever a reason to switch factions periodically...
One thing they didn't seem to mention is that they moved around the Capture Point names on all the maps in Conquest. So Theta is no longer always the central capture point, which makes things really confusing in comms since we're so used to having to fight over that point. "Theta is hot" "Which Theta?"
Yeah was an interesting comment on twitter about the system will be able to do variable weather conditions. Not sure how that will effect things really.
Imagine fighting in pouring rain though with minimal visibility. That said would be dramatic to fight in a thunderstorm.... that's probably not realistic though.
How about Bog with fog so thick even IR won't cut through it? I like the thunderstorm idea but only if it screws with your sensors. False posatives, static, lack of lockon, ecm not working, that kind of thing.
Thinking of "Silence Heavens" with Paladin Crow in a Blade mech vs Anastasia Kerensky in her Ryoken II, getting lured into cresting a hill during a thunderstorm and getting blasted by lightning?
I would LOVE for there to be dynamic weather in this game, but I don't know if they would be able to do it with this game engine very well. I would love to see things like the hurricane that rolls in on one of the BF4 maps: Tourmaline and Caustic could easily have a dust storm blow through: People have talked about the Terra Therma volcanoes having eruptions before, where getting caught in the lava flow would be very damaging to your mech. It will probably never happen though.
Lol no but works... imagine all the mud from the fight in the next book... or what about the canyons map with a torrential downpour and water pouring down the canyon! Ok getting carried away now!
Uhh no. They went and randomly shuffled cap point names. It's retarded. Made a twitter account and twatted Russ about it.
Agreed, it was completely fucking arbitrary and it serves zero purpose to change it when we knew the old names. Maybe they'll randomly assign new letters to mech variants next. Why not randomly change the laser colors? Fuck it. Freeforall.
Regarding the cap point names switching places randomly in Conquest, someone posted a quote of their support ticket: So look for that to stop soon
