Hi, Is there an app available that tracks mech stats in more detail? For instance: number of 900+dmg rounds, 500+dmg rounds, 8+ kill rounds, 5+ kill rounds, 10+ assist rounds, 5+ assist rounds for each chassis you own.
Those are quite amusing... apparently Kaffeangst must be farming win/losses because I've killed him before and he was good but nothing exceptional. The group he was in were all good though which was the key. I just can't see a WLR of 12.14 unless you're farming the group queue in a 12 man which probably makes sense from the people I see him roll with. Apparently he's only done 86 matches in 90 days as well though maybe that's a reflection of switching to CW as those don't show up. I've never even heard of the 2nd to 5th ranked pilots...
The website doesn't update automatically, unfortunately. It's a push system, not pull. Each player has to go to the site and push a button to dump their latest stats from the MWO server. For example, I updated my stats yesterday morning, so it's showing that I've played 834 matches in the last 90 days. But that doesn't count the matches I played last night.
This. "Birds of a feather flock together" applies very well to the "elite" section of MWO's playerbase. They rarely hobnob with anyone who isn't already a pro at this game, which is why when you run into their groups, you usually ALWAYS see them stomp things. When you get 12 guys together, who ALL know exactly what they're doing, and ALL carry their weight to the max . . . you usually don't lose a single match. They don't even coordinate much by comms --- they don't need to, because everyone there knows EXACTLY what to do, everyone there tries their best to do as much damage and get as many kills as possible, and so everyone there is fighting for the win as hard as they can. It's a beautiful thing to see, and it's even better to be a part of. Imagine never having a single person on your team get stuck out in the open because of bad positioning . . . or be out chasing a Light into the enemy lines because he "thought he could kill it" . . . or be doing less than 100 damage . . . this is why those guys win as much as they do, and it's why they get called out for hacking so much. The majority of them don't hack: they just don't miss. And what's more, they focus fire so well that when you wonder how a single Stormcrow managed to insta-crit your Dire's CT, it's actually because 3 or 4 of them shot you at the same time.
Yeah, it's not exactly difficult to make a nigh undefeatable group. Stick to a big size, and small margin for less than optimal mechs, ideally someone to call the shots, and just run loose. Mechstats site is interesting. Fun to see how many chassis I had leading score in... even with the 25% decay enabled because I'm listed as inactive after just registering.
Yip. Not exactly the level of detail I'm looking for, but thanks, still a cool site. I have never played in a team bigger than 3, and we have been stomped by proper 12 man teams on a number of occasions. The recent introduction of the VOIP system will help though.
Personally I wouldn't trust my password with any third party site, no matter what their FAQ says. It would be better if PGI made an API available for the stats, like Eve Online does.
How to I access it? Does it have a different password than my login account? Can I set the security settings for how applications access the API?
First seeing the stats, I freaked out a little. Calling foul, impossibru,... etx,... Having calmed down a little: even with some of them being abnoxiously high, it is feasible. By playing the game as I would not enjoy to. Even though I get a frustrated little ***** when not getting more kills than deaths, I still play bad mech, builds for the heck of it and I strive to master all my chassis. However would I decide to only drop in my "special builds" (WVR-6K, WVR-6R, BJ-1X and the sort) and in teams I know do well (Rems, Aylek, SirHitman, Daelen,... (most peeps I know here actually)), my W/L and K/D ratio would be rising,... REAL QUICK!
