And if you preordered Wave 3, you get "free" things (only "free" since you spent anywhere from $30-$120 to get them ). Nothing to complain about here, although people are already bitching about the last part. XD Also, if you own the preorder packages, you can already see your bonus grab bags, but they cannot be redeemed yet.
Well, a few extra gift bags is nothing to complain about. And I love gift bag event. Simple and random fun. Once again, hoping for mechbays. Wow, talking about joke items, I am sure SHS is the meanest thing they ever vome up with, talking about completely useless. (If you actually need extra SHS you should close your account right now)
I honestly would rather get an SHS than a MC consumable. My CBill consumables are already upgraded to MC level anyway, and you can at least sell the SHS for a few cbills. I still have MC consumables sitting in my collection from last year's Halloween grab bags ><
Free stuff is free. Those giveaway events are the most relaxing ones as nobody tries to be THE hero of a match. The gifts for CW will be tough, though, considering the low attendence there during the last few days. Maybe the event is enough to lure additional players there.
Don't you guys get tired of package creep though? In order to receive all the "free opportunities" you have to have purchased the latest packages? Sure if you already had full intentions of purchasing them then this is a great free reward but if you didn't then this event is like getting to sleep with Kate Beckinsale's sister; it just ain't the full kit and caboodle..
You mean this: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0065765/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm Yeah, but then again, that's a half-sister. I guess that would only support your point of view though. As for me, I don't mind if they give out small extra swag, as long as they don't make packages only for the events. But yeah, they are being a bit hard-sale lately when it comes to packages, speaking as a package owner. At least they learn to give out shit a bit more. It is usually just a small bunch of "bag 'o nothings" but still.
TBH, I'm not looking for negatives...I enjoy the game, I don't see any reason to pick at it until I open a wound that makes me hate it. I still have fun driving big, stompy robots, and I really enjoy streaming the game on Twitch as well, so why look for reasons beyond the occasional asshat in PUG matches to dislike anything? So long as I'm having fun, then I don't mind spending my time with the game...the events they do over the weekend just give me some added incentives to play things other than my norms. IE, last weekend, I brought out my X5, the first mech I EVER owned...and it was a fun blast of nostalgia for a while. With the next hero event coming up, I have a great reason to run around in my Ember again, which was more or less sidelined when the FS9-A got its quirks...and I love my Ember! Basically, I'm just trying to keep having fun And it's working.
Hey man. Good for you! At the end of the day you enjoying it is all that matters! PGI needs guys like you as you are the target market.
Got around 1mill of cbills, 1k of GXP, 100MC, 2 days of premium and a hula girl. Not anything OMG, but 20 is 20. I am just having fun playing regular pugs, leveling things and trying out build. Also, stacking up some cbills for the new mechs when they finally come. Lots of pods need replacing and retooling for the new mechs. Good thing those are clan mch, so less cbills needed to refit.
Here's my totals for my 32 "free" bonus bags: GXP: 2100 CBills: 912,500 MC: 155 Premium: 4 days Mech Bay: 0 MC Consumables: 3 arties, 2 airstrike, 1 coolant Cockpit items: 1 Sundae Bad Luck: 1 Clan DHS Overall, not bad. No Bays, but I'll take some free premium time, and some extra MC. And my only "shitty" item was a DHS that will actually get used since...well, Clan!
First 32: 1,162,500 CBIlls 1000 GXP 165 MC 2 DHS 1 SH 1 Improved Coolant Pod 1 Improved UAV 1 Priority Air Strike 4 Priority Artllery Strike At first I was also confused about the short event weekend, until I realized the event is actually a full week PLUS a short weekend. CW attendance should be the only thing hindering folks that are really playing to getting full grab bags, which is pretty nice.
First 32: 1,5m CBills 2k GXP 130 MC 1 Mech Bay 1 day Premium Time 2 SHS 1 DHS 1 Priority Air Strike 1 Cockpit Item (Sundae)
First 32 GXP 1.100 C-Bills 1.062.500 MC 215 Premium Time 2 Consumables 6 Oscillating Fan 1 Clan DHS 1
Yeah the timing is nice but not sure It'll persuade me to do CW as the rewards aren't exactly huge relative to the CW rewards, particularly as you can't pick CW modes unless that's changed?
I think it just means you have to do 20 attacks and 20 defends, regardless of whether they end up as counter attack or not. Not sure, probably will continue to ignore CW
