I have a question and this may be a good place to ask it. i have watched series like -stargate (all of them) -farscape -battle star -fire fly and i was hoping you guys knew others, preferably not to old (for example i (dont hate me ) find star trek a bit to dated..) tnx for the help and see you on the battle field o7
Literally watched it this morning and it is definitely interesting. I think the second episode may already be out...
When i was a Teen i really liked to watch Space: Above and Beyond and Lexx - The Dark Zone. Both are one of my favorite sci fi series.
Space Above and Beyond was amazing. Low graphics I know but in terms of thought provoking and gripping storylines it went above and beyond anything else around.... get it. Being serious though it was a predecessor of BSG in that area. Tragic that it was cancelled after one season. Vaguely recall it was a victim of one of the writers strikes. Edit: Tragically lost my copy of the episodes when an external drive went down
Well understandable in the context that they rolled the main storyline from 5 into 4 as 5 wasn't funded so we wouldn't miss the ending..... then series 5 was unexpectedly funded.....
I'd definitely suggest Babylon 5 too. If you're not opposed to anime check out Argento Soma too. Giant Stompy Alien vs Mecha fun.
Now that was a good series,... we had all series taped on VHS. Now I need to see if my parent still have them and if they are still readable Bab 5 was great too. But "the" best SciFi series I have seen is the reimagining of Battlestar Galactica. Hell, I even liked Caprica
Anime and animation is a whole different can of worms though. The whole Ghost in the Shell thing is cool, as well as other works by the same author. Then there are stacks of stompy robot thing, like the singing and dancing Macross series that is the core of robotech (which was the core for battletech design), the Gundam series(UC timeline only, fuck Seed D) and many good ones that are to obscure to list here.
Star Trek dated, this is dated Just watched the first Dark Matter, looks interesting, also how about Humans?
