So, we haven't had a Hero Mech sale in a little bit. Anyone wanna guess what comes next? I don't count that Dragon(C) thingy as a Hero mech even though it's listed in the Premium Mech Content section.
Flame and Fang have gone on sale recently, and the Pretty Baby was just on sale, so I don't think they're up. Heavy Metal is too new, and probably X-5. If I could spread my bets, it would be Death Knell, Ilya, or Yen-Lo, but I'm doing Centurions next so I voted Yen-Lo.
I went with the Ilya as the HM is too new and I really wanna play with the Chainsaw build. I have Cataphracts mastered so it would be easy to grind it up to Master
I am only playing 5 months now, but I already saw the Yen-Lo, Pretty Baby and the two Dragons on sale. I voted the X5 because I think the chassis needs some love. Additionally, as Ilya's are still considered to be on top of the Hero Mechs currently available - probably sharing this spot with the Heavy Metal - I don't think that PGI will cut their own flesh by getting it on sale soon. However, I really hope it's the Ilya, because I'd love to get one even though both the Ultra-5 and double-Gauss builds can be simulated by using one of the Jagermechs.
What they really need is more light and medium heros, lights only have 1, mediums have 2, while heavy and assault have 3 each (technically assault still has 2, but with the release of the Misery happening within the next 12 hours, I am counting it.).
This! I am not a Light or Medium Pilot by any streach but if a kickass Hunchback Hero came out id be there in a heart beat... Base it on the 4sp and give it a balistic on each shoulder and I will throw my money at the screen
Actually I think its Ultra 20s Buuuuuuuut that dosent mean they cant give us a dual 20 + 2 or 3 laser 4sp for a hero Also...You bet your shiny metal mecha britches I will be rocking a Daishi as soon as I have the ability to get one.
Dual AC/20 wouldn't really work with Hunchback tonnage. Most you could probably get is dual UAC/5. That said, yes please on the Hunchback hero.
It seems to me we have the Yen-Lo and X-5 about tied for votes. Maybe they'll do a medium weekend and do both?
I think the X5 is a bit too new to go on sale from a business standpoint and the Deaths Knell - though I love it - I don't think would move units on sale. I could see the Fang & Flame going on sale though.
Since I've been playing, I've seen Flame/Fang and now Pretty Baby go on sale. So I don't think it would be the Flame/Fang again.
I hope not. I'll never use a dragon. Wait. I shouldn't say that because someone will quote me if I ever do. "It is highly unlikely that I will ever use one of these mechs"
Say what you want, Michael, but the Dragon is my favorite chassis overall so far. I've found them to be much better mediums than the real mediums.
I just have no interest in them. I've tried them back in CB and they just didn't "work" for me; some folks love them. For me? A Medium is a Centurion but because YLW can't really be zombied I don't really have an interest in it either when I have my CN9-A already. Eventually I may pick it up just for shits and giggles so I can run around pretending I'm Kia Allard-Liao but I dunno yet.
I had no interest in YLW until Myth pointed out that it is the only Mech that can put an AC/20 on an arm and have that arm unlocked horizontally from the torso. This was, of course, before the Highlanders came out, so it's one of two variants now.
The Wang's AC/20 and fast speed really increased my death/kill ratio, and I scored my-most-kills-in-a-game with that monstrous thing, so I like that lanky guy
