    Hi all,

I've only been in the game and on these forums for less than a week now, and I've posted and gotten advice on a couple of builds with the Marauder but I was taking a moment to think forward to the next 'Mech that I was planning on getting, which is the Timber Wolf, and I was hoping to get some feedback and/or pointers on a theory:

    Here's the build:

    Group 1: LLasers
    Group 2: UAC20
    Group 3: SPLasers

Originally I was trying to build the Timber Wolf like the Marauders that I own, as they're the same tonnage and can have hardpoints work out to have the same slots, but most of the builds that I came up with were lesser than the Mara builds in some way (or at least it felt like it, I fully admit to being new and ignorant to certain things), so I'm trying to up the ante, as it were with things like a UAC20 instead of 2 UAC5s, and large lasers over mediums.

Anyway, I've got other theories but one step at a time; do yall think this is practical or am I on the wrong track?

Too much ammo for the Ballistic, and you lose quite a bit with half ton AC20 ammo. Swap that out and strip some armor for a TC1.
You can also think about swapping out the Config A LT as that would give you penalty in movement.
Config A RT boost some stats and you might want to use that if you use no hardpoints on that area.

    Kinda like this:

If you want JJ you use Config S CT

    Note for TBR:
A/C/D are basically the same. Only the CT matters, everything can be changed.
S is good for JJ in CT if you want that.
Prime is kind of useless with ballistic in CT but not enough slots.

    Thanks for the reply!

...and yeah, the quirk system (and general layout) for the Timber Wolf has been kinda irritating me. For example, like how the type A left torso has 4 negative penalties while the type A right side can only be used to negate half of them and the only way to counter those, and keep the build, is to use a different torso that adds two tons from force jump jets, which would mean stripping, what is probably, too much armor to make it all fit.

Well I experimented with a UAC20 and 3x small pulse lasers on a Mad Dog as mostly proof of concept for using the UAC20, and while the damage output could be staggering, the jam rate, and the time to clear it, was ridiculous. When the damn thing worked I could make a Dire Wolf freak out in QMs, but when it didn't...

Maybe the normal AC would be a better choice.
