Day it was announced I knew this would fit well right sided. Just like 3lgpls. The std engine version is far too hot for erll. But for std lasers it wouldn't be too bad. Sustained DPS would still take a slight hit though. Xl version is exactly the way I build it in smurfy aswell. No drawbacks really. Just wish the mech had 1 more slot so it could go ENDOSTEEL, xl290, and 20dhs.
It's not that it's difficult to manage. Heat is really simple, fire weapons and generate heat or don't fire and don't generate heat. I just prefer more dhs, the more dhs the more sustained DPS. Higher sustained DPS means higher damage potential over extended periods of time. Especially useful in long matches and cw, but can for sure make a difference is short matches too. Just a preference and it's no big deal for us to have differing opinions. I just prefer high sustained DPS builds. OFF TOPIC: A great example of that is my timber wolf build. I run 1 lgpls and 4 mdpls instead of 1 lgpls 5 mdpls. Why? So I can fit 27-28 dhs that's why haha. That build can alpha strike 4 times and still not have heat worries. In short matches it gives me a pretty decent advantage over other, hotter energy builds. My best damage with it in a short match was 1385 in 4 minutes and some change on old forest colony.
