Just went up against an Atlas, 1v1, and kicked his ass. I know Jungle would back me up, but then I exploded just to top it off. Fun mech, and soo many JJ. Weapon groups 1. AC5 2. MG 3. ML 4. 3xSRM4
I went back to your Sentinel build after trying out a dual AC5 build that I didn't really enjoy. I wanted to incorporate an AC5 into it and ended up tweaking the Sentinel into this. I also use maxed out AC5 recharge and range mods. Coupled with the WVR-6R quirks, the AC5 shoots almost as quickly as an AC2
5/5, Enjoying this build! It didn't seem like it would work, but I'm getting 1-2 kills, 400-500 dmg per round, and I have only just gotten speed tweak. I am only comfortable with three weapon groups, so I am using mouse 1 ML, mouse 2 AC-5 and MG, mouse 3 SRM4s. You can maintain sustained repeated alpha strikes for several seconds and I think the prolonged barrage of different weapons disorients the enemy.
This just caught my interest for a nice clean up mech in CW. I'd wish the SHD 2H's AC5 quirks were as good as the Wolverine's...
It's only a 5% difference. And the 2H has the advantage of the shoulder mounted cannon. This is, without a doubt, my favourite loadout in the game. I took off the AMS for extra AC5/SRM ammo. 600-700 damage is my average in this beauty. This is my go to CBill farmer on my Phoenix 6R.
I played around with dropping the machine gun last night. With 4 tons AC5, 2 tons SRM ammo and 6 jump jets I was able to put in a BAP. Add in advanced seismic sensor, radar deprivation, AC5 recharge & range modules and you end up with a fantastic sniper who is also able to get in behind unsuspecting mechs.
