First match in the 6x AC5 MX90 here: https://www.mechspecs.com/threads/mal-mx90-mal-call-6x-ac5-std250.9913/ No strikes, no skills unlocked... was very surprised it broke 1k honestly
First recorded 1000+ damage game! AW yeah, no strikes, just guns! First match with my new "Maul Rat" load-out too! 2x AC10, 2x UAC5, 2x MLas, STD 270. https://www.mechspecs.com/threads/mal-1r-maul-rat-2x-ac10-2x-uac5-2x-mlas-std-270.10163/
Well Since new map today. I got tired of being LRM'd to death. Sooo...I made an LRM machine. This should be easy for anyone to do on the new map.
I played this game completing the missile damage mission of the last event. I hadn't played a missile boat in ages, but this one works! I changed my build shortly after, so I don't remember the exact build, but I think I was running something like this : Not optimal, but my thinking was that I didn't want to spend too much, so I used parts I had in my inventory Here's the game result For the record, the 3 AWS-8R in my team was also missile boats. 2 of them died early because they stayed too far back, the last one was near me for the entire game. We barely hit 1k damage, and it was way too easy to achieve, but I enjoyed playing a 2nd line missile boat for a few games. Edit : As I said, I changed my build directly after this game, for a classic "oh-no-you-don't-want-to-trade-with-me" 4xLBX10 build. This build should arguably get nerfed (i'm joking PGI, please don't), it's just so easy to play : walk forward, heat vision on, find a target, press and hold left mousse button, lead target accordingly, watch it melt and die, find new target, keep going. You wan push a shoke point, you can suppress at medium range, and you outtrade anything silly enough to stand in front of you at less than 300 meters. I enjoy this because I feel like I have a strong impact on the flow of battle, and I think it improves my map reading and feeling on when to push, when to hold, when to turn around, and I have the option of doing all of that effectively. In any situation, ennemies are completely open after a few shots, and they have to twist, they have to move and run away. Anyway here are the games:
