Second post ever! So with this build i just like to aim for the legs of all mechs (except lights you can usually 1 shot them) it also runs EXTREMELY cool For some reason smurfy has 0.5 tons left but on MWO i'm at 100 tons so idk. Fun build, wait for them to come to you and blast them in the face. I sometimes use fire control with this set at 100ms but I usually just Alpha all day unless there's somebody with flamers then you can chain fire. Using Excalibaard's edit for more armor in the legs:
Probably because you cut wayyy too much armor on your legs I suggest trying to go for Magazine Capacity skills, with 6-7 tons you'll have 120+24/140+28 shots, so you're firing all your LBXs up to 40 times. Put the remainder into the maximum engine possible and some leg armor (especially in ammo builds, people like to target legs for ammo explosions). Here's my edit: For when you experience that people are for some reason not focusing you down, and you have time to fire more shots:
the reason i cut down the armor on the legs was because (or at least in my experience in an ANH) nobody aims for my legs, they always aim at my CT or ST/Arms, but, thanks for the feedback, going to try it out later!
People do do that, because they're often scarier looking and contain more weapons. Taking out weapons on an assault is always a good idea. But legs can be hit from every angle, as opposed to the torso which can be twisted (only to some extent in the annihilator). And a dead assault is even better than a crippled assault! If a light mech runs around the hill you used for cover, you're screwed
