This is even more budget than the one that was shamelessly stolen promoted from my musings on Discord prior to purchasing my KGC. In practice, I found the lasers did not synergize comfortably with the AC/20s. MRMs actually do feel very at home paired with the AC/20s because their velocity and range are not too dissimilar. Whereas pairing a hitscan with the slow-moving AC/20 shell just doesn't feel right. I have to fire the lasers in the downtime between cannons, which means I cannot turn my face away. This loadout is a very fast 1-1-2 click and then turn away for a second while everything recycles. It uses all of the default upgrade selections (though it does not take advantage of Artemis, which costs 125,000 c-bills to remove at your earliest convenience) and many of the stock components. It will cost a grand total of 312,212 c-bills (not including cost of additional armor points; I couldn't figure that out) after mech purchase. The King Crab itself is not budget by any means at 10.2 mil, but you hardly need anything past that to make a terrifying brawler. Possible on every KGC variant!
I'll agree, as far as building a high-damage potential assault on the cheap this build is right up there. I hated pairing ERMLs with my dual AC20's too.
No longer budget as it requires some very expensive upgrades, but a similar build nonetheless. Trading Ferro for Endo is over a mil and the U-AC/20s are also 1.2 mil. It has slightly more ammo (one extra ton, 21 shells) but the U-ACs will burn that faster, so your longevity is actually going *down*. Optionally, swapping one ton of MRM ammo for U-AC ammo may help if you don't lean on your MRMs too much. Whether you do or not however, you will live or die on U-AC jam chance.
5/5, As far as you can take a KGC build, this is good. Either you live long enough to trash the enemy, or you die trying to get into position~
