    Another C-Bill legal variant of the classic 'Hunter' approach of the MKII hero Deathstrike. Heat efficiency might look above average on paper, but this thing can get hot quickly. It's a very deadly build nonetheless as you can easily do the poking game beyond the HMLs optimal range, but fully unleash as soon you are getting closer.

    The cAP is there for sensor boosts, ECM counter and so on, but you can easily remove that one for another DHS. Adding more Gauss ammo might also be an option, but 4 tons are usually enough for me when taking both the ammo nodes.

  2. Do you start firing the HMLs, then switch to ERMLs to avoid the ghost heat and sync up the burn duration?

    Or just use the HMLs when at close range?

    Both & situationally. The other way round works as well if you want that tad bit of extra damage when out of the HMLs optimal range, but still close enough for them not to be meaningless. Heat efficiency / Cooling is good enough to allow at least one alpha strike from low heat levels.
