7 ML seems odd due to ghost heat, but I suppose it'd be something like this. Changing the 7th ML for ERSL or SL should be even better as you can get MASC and avoid the ghost heat with minimal impact on range and alpha damage. or even more:
I agree. 6 seems safer. If you go MASCless, you can get cooler and turn it into a tiny Cicada (One of those goes well with 6 MLs right?)
Well the point was to work out BrioS's build, for fun. I think you are right having take out the 7ml build the lack of similarity on the weapon groups bothers me, plus the ghost heat can be an issue in an intense David vs Goliath fight
Hi all. Thanks for the interest in my FLE-17 and it made me register for MechSpecs to join the discussion(s) even though I've been browsing it for years! It seems that all hits on Fleas go straight to the CT so it's XL which allows to fit those 7 Medium Lasers. Does a lot of hit and run with those 7 MLs (group fire) and redeploying to cool down. It does run very hot but with its speed and size, I use the time cooling down to redeploy and find new weaknesses in the enemy position to exploit. When in a sustained fight, it fires in groups of 3ML (torso mounts) and 4ML (arm mounts). A hot build but seems to work! Anyway, here is the build: And here is the recording of that game: It was a most fortunate game and I was glad to be able to capture it. Cheers! PS: If Ghost Heat is an issue, I would swap the weapons to 6 ERML and MASC which would allow engagements at longer ranges
