    Super dumb. Super fun.

This thing might not be armed to the teeth, but it MASCs at 111.5kph and makes people turn around in circles and stuff.

Saw TTB do this and had to try it! It is really fun to pilot, and can actually perform ok with a bit of practice. Works great if you wait until your bigger assaults push (lol), then rush out and try to get one of their assaults to turn around. If you own this 'Mech, you owe it to yourself to try this at least once.

With a more sensible engine an AC10 (any variant) would be a nice addition on here.

With two medium pulses and less XL-fragility? :D

Inspirational build, but wat about installing the MASC? It only goes that fast if you allocate those 4 tons and 4 slots. You need to trade ASRM6 for ASRM4 or SRM6 to make it fit. And wat about light ferro since there are 9 slots free?

An alternate take somewhat in the spirit of the original:

Changes to a still crazy XL390, but no Artemis (you can get closer to their face with the MASC, right?) and added light ferro and 2 MPLs for more power. ASRM4s just don't have the same punch, probably. I think the tradeoff of going from XL400 to XL390+MASC would make this build feel about the same. The 3.5 ton difference mostly pays for the MASC.

Due to the fact you can install MASC, you can install a more efficient 380XL and achieve the same performance of a XL400 when needed, so you can keep Artemis upgrades. Also, IMHO with ammo skill nodes 1 ton of ammo for each SRM6 is enoug (20 alpha strikes pre-skills with 1 ton of ammo per launcher).

Better solution. I forgot the MASC can be placed on either torso for some reason.

    5/5,
I literally made an account after years just to say how much I love this build now that I'm used to it, and that it is now literally my most effective mech I think. Once you get the hang of it, this thing is just amazing.

I dont own this mech, but I am puzzled that an IS assult can be effective with a weapon loadout that is similar to a 40 ton clan ACW that I run. I guess this says more about clantech then about IS assults.

Lots of mechs have similar loadouts but very different properties - for example the Zeus is extremely tough. And it actually has way more effective power than an Arctic Wolf when you factor cooling into it. I get that the Skokomish looks no more powerful than an Arctic Wolf omnimech but that really isn't the case.

Another example is that a Warhammer 5ERLL and Battlemaster 5ERLL carry the same weapons but the latter weighs 15 tons more. Which one is better depends on what you want in weight, heat dissipation, play style, armor, and other factors.
