For I am a educated barbarian lord that cannot be contained by a cage!!! You want to be strong? You want to dominate your enemies better than anyone else? I'm here to tell you - It's all in your head. Your strength comes from how you use your natural talents and how fearless you are in battle! Whether it comes down to that sweet sweet music that you love that gets your drive going or that pure desire to get back at someone, the biggest factor is your motivation. There are other types of fuels you can use on your mind, to push you over these so called limits you place on yourself. Find it! Use it! The first step is accepting a loss. Just think of all the experiments conducted to create the awesome battlemechs you pilot??? Lots and lots of failure. Many scientist have failed in their objective to craft your beast of a mech. Imagine a very very long ladder, a ladder that never ends. You have to scale this massive thing. You can't just step over 10 steps and fling yourself to this theoretical top. It's a !huge! learning process. That process involves some brutal losses. IF you get one shot in a match are you going to rage quit? Are you going to scream at someone for failing to meet your expectations? At the end of your match it never mattered whether you lost or not. It mattered that you had a chance. A chance to deliver the most of your extreme brutal fury! The second step to obtaining true power is accepting criticism. Have you ever had to take a ear full from a veteran player on what you could have done? Did you get salty right after? This isn't a game where you have to prove yourself. Your deeds are not being recorded like that. "For a man is not measured by how he strides in victory but how he shoulders defeat!" - Quote from our Space Captain. You cannot reach your true power until you have enlightened your mind. A closed mind is always thinking of the label that has been placed on them. "I am a crap player. I can't win. I can't get any better than this because I am a tier 5 potato." Non-sense I say!!! Reach out and grab the new you. You can achieve greatness if you just remove the mental blocks. You'll know what I mean when you accept every defeat as a new challenge. Seek challenges! The third step is killing your laziness. I mean bringing it down to its knees and kicking it so hard you break the atmosphere. You cannot get more powerful if you remain stagnant. You have to learn. You have to look for every trick in the book that can ever be preformed in mechwarrior!!!! Have you played with all the controls in the settings!? Found out what free look does!? Can you take an incline at the perfect angle/time to make a perfect shot while dodging a gauss round!? Do you slow down to shoot? Do you power down to cool off!? Do you toggle override on and off to cheat some of the heat!? How can you use this terrain effectively!? How can you kite your enemy so he is stuck in the open and you are in cover!? Do you back out of cover to shoot, so that you can run faster into it and literally dodge gauss rounds!? Can you tweak the skill tree just perfectly so that you can out preform every other potato in the game!? Let me tell you a little secret:You can always learn more, and every second you don't think of more tricks, someone has already surpassed you. Fear is the fourth step! It is your biggest enemy! Not even an annihilator can't compare!!! What's more dangerous than a soldier with nothing more to lose!? Read the load out on your enemy mech. Can you take it man!? Can you take that damage and live!? If you can, then stay on target! Stay on target. NEVER DRAG A LASER! Every shot should cut a component off. You should be slicing off mech limbs like the barbarian lord Ragnahawk. You should make every single weapon in the game more deadly than if PGI added melee weapons. Fight like Chuck Norris would! Fight like a terminator. Find the most dangerous thing you know and use him/her as a role model and CRUSH THEM! The fifth and most important step is the one that you make for yourself. Your unique personality. What are you truly capable of now that I just removed the mental bar? I'll tell you. As much as you can do in a life time. That's how much.
