This is a alternate to DudeBroSki's Rear Admiral, thanks for the idea man! Pros: Standard Engine allows for more courage, as side torsos dont spell an instant death Good amount of firepower selections with ammo to back it up Cons: dis b***h is hot! (though you can take out an LRM ammo in favor of heat effec.) Standard engine saves you from side torso death, but makes you quite slow. This is a build I would imagine as a Long range support/ heavy scout sniper, I tossed the missiles in as a means to keep enemies heads down if they get too bold, while the Lpls and mediums allow for CQC defense. Treating the Gauss as the main weapon, with the other weapons thrown in for support help bring this balanced build together. (the whole greater than the sums of it's parts) This is an untested build! any advice would be appreciated ------------------- Updated: Ran this build with a few friends, it fulfills its role as a long range support mech and can get pretty nasty up close with those Lpls and mediums combined with the Gauss. I would definitely advise anyone looking to fulfill the "scout" sniper role this mech can play to drop a ton of LRM ammo and add in another DHS.
Drop the BAP. Currently, I think it does literally nothing because of a bug. You're not really spotting your own targets for the LRMs anyway. That gives you another 2 tons of heatsinks, which fills up all your slots. I was looking at ways to get a bigger engine, but it's a pretty meaningless upgrade unless you can get another 25 engine rating. This is what I came up with: It doesn't really fulfill all your criteria, what with not having the LPL, but the LL do give you more firepower at Gauss ranges. Probably the way I'd go, personally, but it's up to you.
I can garuntee you the BAP at least shows powered down mechs within 120m. Can't very for certain the other stuff, but I know it at least does something.
Keeping BAP since it will show powered down mechs and will counter ECM in the future. While it wont help me with the LRMS, it will allow my teammates to hit anyone foolish enough to come close to this build
