This bad motherf****** soaks with heat sinks. It also have a lot of close range fire power. You hae to sneak to your enemy, but then. May he Rest in Peace. Because you mech simply almost never overheats.
I am not an Assault pilot myself but I feel that having just over 10% of your total weight in weaponry far too little. People run 35 ton Jenners with nearly the firpower... I really think you should do some research here to compare the firepower most of the Assault pilots roll with. I'm sure that your heat control is a breeze and that you are deadly when facehugging the enemy, I just think that the Altas was intended to be sooo much more. Good luck, Mythweaver
I've never piloted an Atlas, so take my comments with that in mind. If I saw this thing coming at me in my K2, I'd feel like it was an easy kill. I can outrun it, and stay out of range of all of it's weapons, while still punching it with longer-range weapons. If I was running my 139kph 6Mlas Cicada, I wouldn't be afraid of this build either, unless you could actually hit me with your SRM6s. (Some people can, maybe you are that good an aim too, but I'd make you prove it before I ran away.) It seems to me that you have way too many HS. I'm sure your heat management is fantastic, but I'd say it's overkill. I don't run any of my Mechs with over 50% cooling. Granted, they all have Elite-lvl XP, so they have cooling bonuses, but still. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe Atlas heat management is different than I think it is. Here's what I like about your build though: 1) It's fast. At least, as fast as an Atlas can go. You might surprise a few slower heavy pilots with that thing. 2) You recognize it's weak points. You said yourself that you need to sneak up on enemies, so you are thinking about your tactics. That shows that you have brains, so you've got a good jump on a lot of pilots I've seen. 3) You've got full armor, and lots of ammo. If you don't get focus-attacked too hard, and can get in brawling range, you have the potential to do a lot of damage, because you can outrun and out-armor some other Assaults. And you will never overheat. 4) It's cheap, for an Atlas. I can see this working for you, given the right circumstances, but I don't think it's living up to it's full potential. For Example, you can add a UAC/5 and still have 46% heat efficiency, just by dropping some HS and a little armor. Switching to DHS gives you more free tonnage than I know what to do with. If it works for you, by all means keep using it, but I think there's room for improvement, or at least something to give it some range.
