This is my favorite. Superior shot placement, compared to other AWS variants, imo. Why? Arm-mounted weapons for virtually 360-degree targeting. (Group 1: 3xERPPC, Group 2: 1 MLAS, 2xSSRM2). The Sizzler is an offshoot of the weapons selection for stock AWS-9M. Intended for group support; you will not win many 1v1 brawls as you can't pump enough electricity into the baddie's chest before you shut down. But a few well-timed ERPPC group-fire shots can cripple a mech, then you cool off before re-engaging. This strategy forces you to go with BAP and the Advanced Sensor Range module so you can "see" those bullies at long range (where you excel). The missiles and laser are strictly secondary and meant for some extra bite at close range and against lights. Many peeps don't appreciate the awesomeness of the AWS, but now YOU CAN!
First off... You just made me want a cheezeburgar. Bad. Good build though. Hotter than Satan's undercarriage, but, she'll throw out a lot of pain on the battlefield. Not too sure on the Streaks. They just don't seem to fit. Short range and you have to maintain a lock (which can be hard in an Awesome with it's slow speed) Personally, I would drop the streaks, BAP and a 1/2ton of armor for SRM4s, an additional HS and move the MLas to the head for peaking over terrain. The dual SRM4s can knock a small mech around a little more when they get in close, don't need a lock and allow you to drop the targeting from BAP. You do lose sensor range, but free up a little more defensive ability. My 2¢. All about feel and play-style.
Appreciate the comments. And of course "personal preference" should always determine the small trades (e.g., SRMs vs. SSRMs). My personal preference is high probability of hit, localized to one area. I suppose that's why I love the PPCs and to a lesser extent the SSRMs (they only localize the center torso 50% of the time). Yes the heat management is an issue with Sizzler, but on the flip side I love ending up as a spotter for my team with the BAP and Adv. Sensor module. I can't count the times I've nailed an opponent at the very very start on River City Night. My BAP also helps against ECM lights at close range (for some reason I target/hit with a lot more accuracy when the red reticule is not flashing).
