Ideally, here's all this mech shows you, while throwing 80 damage bursts down range at 6-700 meters:

    Pros:
*AMS is an easy fit for LRMageddon
*Pokes well to both sides and over ridges
*Not neutered after loss of a torso
*Strong shield arms to sacrifice while jammed/outgunned/hot
*Decent maneuverability, could go higher with weaker arm armor or no AMS
*Not too much risky ammo placement

    Cons:
*20 degrees of torso pitch on all weaponry, watch your angles
    *Jammed UACs
    *Sunk ton in MGs

This is a preliminary build, will probably revisit after elited.

I honestly like the idea of putting 2 MGs in JUST so the UACs stay mounted high where you want them. Obviously you aren't even loading any MG ammo, but that's what makes it so awesomely unique! They are there simply for their utility in ballistic placement for the UACs.

And I do like the build. As you noted in the "Cons" section of your post, the jamming of the UACs could very well prove a problem, as they are essentially what this build is all about. That said, for a pop-over-the-ridge-and-snipe-at-'em type of 'Mech, this certainly works.

(not sure where you're seeing an 80 dmg burst though)

2 ERLLas alphas, and opening up with the UACs till they jam. Should come out to 80ish in 5 seconds.

With the time between peeks and jams, your cooling is a bit overkill. Also, since you're peeking and presumably twisted as you retreat, slide a touch more armor to the arms. Use the tonnage from extra heatsinks for a bigger engine so you can operate faster.

The DHS are more to bolster laser DPS once you're in a fight where you can put your MLas to work. Just got elites in this round, will report shortly on the double basic effect:

You know you have MGs loaded but NO MG-Ammo, do you?? But great Trick nonetheless! :p

I initially had MG ammo just in case I had the opportunity to shoot someone I wouldn't rather twist damage from. But in these days of the second LRMpocalypse, AMS seemed a bigger necessity.

What method do you use to get the weapons up high?

Every time I have tried, it saves the weapons in a different order, and doesn't keep the UAC's up top?

UAC's will stack to the top if you put MGs in first, then buy new UACs. So sell them, or equip all your UACs and buy more.

While an interesting concept, this mech doesn't fit the role of hill poker as well as it fits DPS pushing and general direct fire support. UACs aren't really ideal for that, especially if the readily available alternative is 3AC5 paired with 2PPC or LLas, which is what now resides on my BNC.

I was theorycrafting when i came to a very similar variation. Mine is cooler and includes the MG ammo that all ppl forgot to place :p

I was thinking to call it "In-Pairs" cause all the weapons in groups of 2 and the good chance it has to strip 1 leg down to nearly any enemy in the first alpha

The armour is horribly distributed for my like. Its just there to make u know how much u can drop in a specific component, so feel free to battle-experience redistribute it. I tend to left 15-18 points in the back and move the rest to the front, that is the part that i want to be exposing all the time.

Right now, this mech never overheats if u take out of the firing cicle the ERLLas, so i would suggest to move to the MLas as soon as they are in range, and save the ERLLas then for a killing blow.

I think that the intended role of this mech spec is King of the Hill. U simply add more and more paired weapons to ur firepower while the enemy closes in, and by the time they reach the MG range they should have at least 1 or 2 parts stripped of armour to allow criticals.
