That's my light hunter: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=95&l=f8e51bedcb9dc11a20ac9859cbf4b77505ef6fee Artemis for bug use *edit, no TAG: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=95&l=4543619f9708f784bfcfffe915937e96ad9264ec
I was just about to post schnaetz's loadout, I'm surprised nobody thought of the KTO before. It's the most scary thing I can imagine finding when playing my Locust.
http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=111&l=511d8ac194c0fef122136939a829fb7a9686f593 I like this a lot, while Blagg's faster version with mediums is probably better for light hunting only, I like that this build still excels at killing lights, but also has a bit DPS from a distance as well. Its one of my favorite builds to play period.
Back Before ECM nerf and SSRM nerf (it used to damage only Center Torso).. the Raven 3L was King of LIGHT Hunting... I remember people would run away at the sight of a 3L... 3Medium Lasers + 2 SSRMS 2 + ECM + 151 KPH = Death to all Lights... Because of how SSRMs used to CEnter Torso only it was super deadly to Light Mechs....Spiders were not even spared with broken hitboxes.... Jan 2013- May 2013 the Raven 3L was simply the best Light Hunter the game ever saw... and ever will....
I think a lot of this would depend on your latency and aim. If your ping and aim is good, generally front load weapons like AC20s and Gauss would ruin lights very well. Turn one wrong corner into a certain Jager and its over before you can blink. Otherwise you're kinda stuck praying for the best by glazing them with your lasers(some damage is better than no damage) and spamming streaks. Streak effectiveness is often undermined by ECM presence.
And ECM presence is often undermined by a BAP. As many streaks as you can fit + BAP makes the best possible light hunter due to the hilarious latency issues. I wonder when will PGI use their gold-plated mech income to buy some servers in Europe for, you know, half their playerbase.
