When I first got my 1G, I didn't have a heck of a lot of cash for extra mods and tried to do the best with what I had, trying to utilize the available hardpoints while keeping the original engine if possible. In the end, an attempt to replicate the layout of the 3S variant with the tools I had available provided the best solution: The LRM launcher allows one to provide cover fire for teammates, while the 6 mediums provide a decent close-range punch if properly aimed. If you have the mouse buttons, put all of them into two groups, one set for chain fire, the other for group fire. This permits fairly sustained close range firepower on even the hottest maps, with the option of a hammerblow if the opportunity presents itself. Of the combinations I've been able to try with the 1G, this has worked the best for me so far, though I am always open to suggestions for improvement.
That, and the lack of Endo despite loads of slots left, not to mention that unused half ton. I would also say the lack of BAP, seeing that the LRM20 seems to be needing that. Oh, remmber ther launcher is 10 tube, so your LRM20 is basically an LRM10 firing twice. ON BIG THING: You are shaving armor from the CT! Do not do that when you can shave some armor from the shield arm instead. This is how it would look like fixed. Almost nothing is changed, just the regular "most-have" upgrades Well, +A is added due to popular demand. All in all though, even with the upgrade the build is a bit undergun. As an assault you should pack more firepower. Downgrade to 325, gives you the much needed tonnage for the LL, also downgrade the LRM20 to LRM10. I also slap on an extra ton of armor, you may take it out if you want though. Having a shield arm is good.
