I just bought the 1G, it's my first Battle Master. This is the loadout I've been running on it.. it's a lot of fun! The ER PPC is on the arm so you can kind of snap shot with that, and you've got 4LL's and an SRM4 in the torso so when/if you lose your arms, you've still got a decent amount of power.

It runs a little hot, but it's pretty easy to manage. Put the large lasers in groups of 2, don't alpha strike unless you have to.

    Title is incorrect:

    (1xERPPC, 4xLL, 1xSRM4, 2xMG, XL330) is what it should say.

The srm4 is in my opinion a waste of tonnage, due to current hit registration and the fact that it are just 4 spread out missiles. I guess you can keep it in if you want.

However, I personally do not like the ERPPC in the arm.
ERPPCs are ONLY used because they have a much more flexible range, because the heat they generate is tremendous. However, the low placement of the hardpoint means that it will be very hard to put it to good sniping use. Their DPS is the same as 2 medium lasers otherwise, at double the heat.
So, I just put 2 ML in the energy torso slots (the only reason you'd want to use a 1G over the 1D which has much better torso twist, is to use the extra hardpoints), upgraded to an XL350 and added as much heatsinks I could. Also added in an AMS to protect from LRM fire, because you do not want to take unnecessary damage with an XL in your Battlemaster.

    This is the result:

Eventually get rid of the SRM4 and/or AMS for an even better engine
